But then something takes over, and there's this unexplainable rush of emotions that come forward, spilling out into the performance and music.<br /><br />I think this is why, as musicians, we battle through all the hard times. We live this life that we joke about \"struggling musician\", \"artist life\", but the reward is a feeling that money can't buy. Not to say we don't want to be paid as musicians. (I have very strong feelings toward playing for \"exposure\")<br /><br />So to anyone who's on their own journey as a performer, hang in there. It's worth it in the end, and what you're doing is pouring art and beauty into the world. I think the world could use a lot more beauty, love and connection right now.
