"content": "Sometimes playing live can be the most daunting and yet most rewarding thing.<br />I'm pretty sure most performers share my sentiment in feeling butterflies and jitters before singing that first note. But then something takes over, and there's this unexplainable rush of emotions that come forward, spilling out into the performance and music.<br /><br />I think this is why, as musicians, we battle through all the hard times. We live this life that we joke about \"struggling musician\", \"artist life\", but the reward is a feeling that money can't buy. Not to say we don't want to be paid as musicians. (I have very strong feelings toward playing for \"exposure\")<br /><br />So to anyone who's on their own journey as a performer, hang in there. It's worth it in the end, and what you're doing is pouring art and beauty into the world. I think the world could use a lot more beauty, love and connection right now.
