"content": "When it comes to relationships... do you find yourself constantly dating the same type of person no matter how hard you try to find someone different? <br /><br />In business, do you often find yourself working with a certain type of client? (For good or bad) <br /><br />There is a reason for it... <br /><br />I can’t explain it... call it sowing & reaping; call it the law of attraction; call it good or bad luck... I don’t care what you call it... it happens. <br /><br />We attract what we are. <br /><br />Are you Cold? Selfish? Not ready to commit? <br /><br />Those are the types of people you will attract. <br /><br />Are you flakey? Cheap? Slow to make a decision? <br /><br />Guess what your clients are going to act like... <br /><br />If you want to change the type of person that comes into your life you have to change yourself first. <br /><br />You want a loving, forgiving, affectionate relationship... <br /><br />You change first. <br /><br />You want a client that pays their bills on time, does what you ask of them, and goes above and beyond without trying to nickel and dime you for everything? <br /><br />You change first. <br /><br />“But André, you incredibly insightful, genius you... I don’t think I have any of the bad behaviors I keep seeing in the people I interact with.” <br /><br />Unfortunately, we all have blind spots and we are often the last to know where we struggle... <br /><br />If you keep running into the same negative traits in others, try living out the opposite trait in your daily life. <br /><br />Are people around you unforgiving? Forgive that person who hurt you back in high school. <br /><br />Are people selfish around you? Give an extra big tip at dinner. <br /><br />Do your clients constantly ask for discounts? Next time you make a purchase, be thankful to the person providing a service to you without haggling over price. <br /><br />Give it a month and see how things change. <br /><br />Or...<br /><br />Don’t bother changing and continue how things are.<br /><br />It’s up to you.<br /><br />-A ",
