And what I like more about the Zeiss is its superior ergonomics, haptics, and build quality, none of which is a strike against the Meike, certainly not at its price. <br /><br />Like the Zeiss, wide open, the Meike glows around focus edges. By F/2,0, it is sharp in the centre. Corner sharpness never fully follows suit, but by F11, it is more than sharp enough. But what do you, or I, purchase a fast 50 equivalent lens for? Perfectly flat field reproduction? Or something else? ",

Prior to that, I used a pair of Nikon dSLRs. <br /><br />Somewhere along the way, I borrowed a mate’s M9. Its simplicity blew me away. So did the sharpness of its tiny lenses. The next thing I knew, I was bidding on a used M240 and offloading the Fujifilm cameras I hobbied around with. I am neither a doctor nor a lawyer. I am a still life and event photographer on a normal budget. Leica users like me exist. <br /><br />While I don’t think that Leica cameras are necessarily better than Nikon cameras, the things that initially drew me to the M have kept me there. "content": "Almost three years ago, I upgraded (side graded?) from a duo of Hasselblad medium format backs to a Fujifilm GFX50s. Because of the extra flange distance, I couldn't use the same Linhof M679cs. I replaced that with a much simpler Cambo Actus GFX. Awesome combo.
