The contents of the compost bin, plus a few old pots, have begun filling the first raised bed.<br /><br />Shudrette pulled up the neglected raspberry, and divided it into 5 pots against the back wall. We strung fence wire along the wall to train the raspberries. <br /><br />The rest of the aquaponics room looks like a warzone, but a week of dedicated effort on our week off should get things looking good. ",

Dust and debris accumulating in the fold has formed the perfect environment for germination. <br /><br />Interestingly, this seedling will form nitrogen fixing bacteria around the roots as it feels its way into the dead wood of the tree. This will accelerate the natural decomposition of the tree. <br /><br />While this isn't a sustainable situation for the albizia seedling, it will be interesting to see what impact it will have on the dead tree. ",
