"content": "I think it is worth noting that without the alleged criminal activity surrounding Burisma Holdings, Biden/Obama did not do anything illegal for all the same reasons that Trump also did nothing illegal.<br /><br />Even Biden/Obama shutting down the criminal probe into Biden's son's dealings in Ukraine isn't illegal, but it does violate the \"appearance of corruption\" rule all Federal employees must follow <a class=\"u-url mention\" href=\"https://www.minds.com/Timcast\" target=\"_blank\">@Timcast</a> .<br /><br />That being said, the Dim's argument now is that Trump is illegally helping his campaign by using his position as head of the DOJ to lawfully request a State to investigate potential wrongdoing. Unfortunately for the Dim's you can make exactly the same argument about Biden/Obama's request to end the aforementioned investigation. In both cases the administrations are requesting a foreign State to do something that could be advantageous to their individual positions.<br /><br />The difference between these two actions is that Trump is requesting a foreign State to uphold the law, while Obama/Biden were requesting that a specific entity be exempt from the law. Only one of those actions can be interpreted as being \"in the public interest\", and it's not the position establishing a multi-tier judicial system, FYI.<br /><br />This all leaves FakeNews arguing that a President must violate the public trust in order to not be impeached, which sure explains the last few administrations!",

"content": "I think it is worth noting that without the alleged criminal activity surrounding Burisma Holdings, Biden/Obama did not do anything illegal for all the same reasons that Trump also did nothing illegal.\n\nEven Biden/Obama shutting down the criminal probe into Biden's son's dealings in Ukraine isn't illegal, but it does violate the \"appearance of corruption\" rule all Federal employees must follow @Timcast .\n\nThat being said, the Dim's argument now is that Trump is illegally helping his campaign by using his position as head of the DOJ to lawfully request a State to investigate potential wrongdoing. Unfortunately for the Dim's you can make exactly the same argument about Biden/Obama's request to end the aforementioned investigation. In both cases the administrations are requesting a foreign State to do something that could be advantageous to their individual positions.\n\nThe difference between these two actions is that Trump is requesting a foreign State to uphold the law, while Obama/Biden were requesting that a specific entity be exempt from the law. Only one of those actions can be interpreted as being \"in the public interest\", and it's not the position establishing a multi-tier judicial system, FYI.\n\nThis all leaves FakeNews arguing that a President must violate the public trust in order to not be impeached, which sure explains the last few administrations!",
