"content": "Dear Mr Bill Ottman , <br /><br /><a class=\"u-url mention\" href=\"https://www.minds.com/ottman\" target=\"_blank\">@ottman</a> , <br /><br />By now you are well aware of the plight of the Vietnamese people leaving Facebook to join Minds.com . All we ever wanted to do was to speak our minds , speak the truth and sharing news about Vietnam . Yet since Vietnam is being governed by a Communist Party , freedom of speech and freedom of expression are not allowed . People , including teenagers , have been beaten , harassed , arrested and jailed just because of a few posts on Facebook .<br /><br />Many Facebook posts and accounts had been deleted or locked without reason or explanation . This crackdown is now much worse since Ms Le Diep Kieu Trang , a government agent , was appointed as CEO for Facebook in Vietnam , and since the government passed the bill called Cyber Security Laws . <br /><br />Therefore when moving from Facebook to Minds , we Vietnamese people are very concerned when we learnt that Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan , also an avid agent of the Communist Vietnamese government , himself a Member of the Communist Party , is on he board of advisors for Minds . We do not want the same thing happened to us on Facebook happening again here . <br /><br />To be a good balance , I sincerely ask you to appoint ANOTHER ADVISER . <br /><br />I would like to nominate Ms Pham Doan Trang , you might know her already , she is the one corresponding with you right now , sending you a collection of questions via your personal inbox . <br /><br />Ms Pham Doan Trang is a very well know freedom fighter and human rights activist , both in Vietnam and overseas . You can read all about her credential here :<br /><br /><a href=\"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phạm_Đoan_Trang\" target=\"_blank\">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phạm_Đoan_Trang</a><br /><br />Ms Pham Doan Trang is well known by the US Consulate staff and various Human Rights Advocate Organization . I believe that she is the PERFECT person to be on the advisors board for Minds . <br /><br />I also would like you to ask Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan , whether or not he supports the Vietnamese government 's new Cyber Security Laws . If he does , then he is NOT WORTHY to remain as your advisor , as that would totally go against all the values that you and Minds upheld . If that is the case , you should ask him to leave .<br /><br />Please , Mr Bill Ottman , I believe in your and Minds' mission to promote freedom of speech and freedom of internet . Please consider inviting Ms Pham Doan Trang to be your new advisor .
