If lying was required, they lied. Or they lost their job and were replaced by someone who would. <br /><br />With the death of newspapers, high-profile, decent-paying jobs for journalists were few and far between. That's how media and governments increasingly manufacture propaganda/news: the more desperate the journalist, the more willing the lie. <br /><br />And now that \"Artificial Intelligence\" is a reality, journalists with a conscience are no longer a problem. Recent articles produced via A.I. had bylines with names and ethnic identities, even the proper pronouns. <br /><br />\"Can you sue an artificial intellect for slander?\" Probably. For now, though, it's one more complex layer of bullshit to sift. <br /><br />To ensure acquiescence, the CIA invested heavily in the once influential but rapidly dying Washington Post, funneling nearly three-quarters of a billion dollars to the Jeff Bezos-owned paper. Bezos then hired ex-CIA and FBI agents as off-the-books editorial staff. Big Tech did the same. CNN openly hired disgraced former FBI agents James Comey and Peter Strzok (both helped spearhead the Russian Collusion Hoax) and openly bragged about it. Being adamantly anti-Trump was profitable. It also, for a time, made them bulletproof. <br /><br />But something's changed. Maybe it's the debacle that is the Biden administration. So, the big players (whoever they may be) cut their losses and move to \"Plan B.\" Or Plans C through Z, bobbing and weaving like a skilled boxer to avoid the knock-out. <br /><br />If your pockets are deep enough, you never \"really\" lose - assuming you're far enough in the background to stay hidden. It also helps when corruption is so widespread it touches damned-near everybody. You can't run the ship of state when everybody's in jail. So, a few cancer cells remain, just enough to eventually kill the host. <br /><br />None of this is news, except for people who never step outside the corporate media bubble. A recent poll showed 67% of Americans don't follow politics. That leaves a meager 33% that do. And probably half of that follows with any consistency. Newsweek listed the deadly chemicals that leaked. FOX News said something about nuclear winter. Labor unions blamed the crash on layoffs. Meanwhile, some thought the dying fish and chickens, like the recent egg shortages and burning food plants, could be globalists thinning the herd. Eventually, White supremacy and Mansplaining will get offered as possible reasons.<br /><br />I think the word is \"Confusion.\"<br /><br />Is it intentional, indicating some deeper subterfuge?<br /><br />Who can say? As to the train derailment, mechanical failure or human error are the likely causes. The way politicians and people respond in the aftermath? That will be when the conspiracies become real. That enriched evil Vlad Putin. But Germany didn't care since it allowed them to stay cool in summer and warm in winter. Having food to eat was pretty good too. Oil made all these things possible. They pulled at his strings, and he responded like a dimwitted marionette. And, with the media firmly in hand, Joe could be sure they'd back his play, no matter how dumb it might be. \n\nOnce Joe was in office, he followed through as promised, killing Canada's pipeline that ran through the U. S... It would've increased the supply, speed, and efficiency with which oil made its way to global markets. It also would've helped to drive prices lower. To Joe's Leftist handlers, though, it was code for \"Climate Apocalypse!\" So, they rushed to their limousines and private jets and made their way to the priciest hotels on earth, where they could engage in thoughtful conversations about saving the planet - and how many hookers could reasonably dance on the head of a pin. \n\nJoe's anti-oil plan had an immediate effect long before anyone came up with the catchy slogan, \"It's Putin's price hike!\" People felt it at the pump and on their electric bills. Whenever they dug deep into their wallets, they could feel its effect. \n\nOf course, it wasn't just about killing pipelines or eliminating drilling on federal lands, which allowed smaller innovative companies to find new ways of getting at that rich vein of crude that runs deeply through American soil. But Joe had one more trick up his sleeve, a war between Ukraine and Russia. \n\nA sentient being might've been reluctant regarding war since Russia supplied much of Europe's oil. And with American oil production thrown deep in the shitter, taking Russia offline by goading Ukraine into joining Nato was risky. Putin might think having Ukraine combined with anti-Russian Nato forces on his border was a Bad idea, one worth retaliating over. That, however, assumed that sentient beings were in charge. Their actions indicated otherwise. When adding the sum of its parts, Joe's actions seemed more suicidal than anything. Given the near-two-year lockdowns and forced vaccinations enacted by these same people - one could only reasonably wonder if some mass-genocidal impulse was at work. \n\nNone of this should be surprising, though. For decades, the Left had attacked America's energy production. They failed to build the necessary power plants to provide the needed energy, even as populations grew and grew - much of it due to immigration, legal and otherwise. They even talked about open borders.
