"content": "Looks like I'm back again.<br /><br />Last X ban got removed quickly, this one has resulted in being stuck in automation hell.<br /><br />For some reason musk thinks I'm ban evading over there, which is kind of tough to do with only one account. But some clown supposedly reported me and being suspended literally locks you out of all other support. So I keep getting an auto response they can verify I own the account and point me at account recovery, but I can't get to the account recovery form because I'm automatically redirected to suspension appeal due to being suspended... been a good two weeks now at least.<br /><br />So, back to yelling into the void here. Maybe I'll start back up on my buster sword. It's all reprinted I just need to assemble again.",

"content": "Im a few weeks behind on my yearly post, but this message is needed now more than it ever has.<br /><br />For those who dont know, this clip from the end of Metal Gear Solid 2, a game released in 2001 by Hideo Kojima published by Konami. In this clip from the end of the game it is revealed that the player character, Raiden, has been manipulated though out his mission by the Patriots, a cluster of AI's who have developed sentience and now see their purpose as cultivating and guiding humanity from the shadows.<br /><br />The AI states that the entire purpose for Raiden's mission was to complete their final stage and test how complete their influence on humanity was by completely predicting and controlling the actions of a single person, Raiden, and by extension the player.<br /><br />What makes this clip interesting is the reasoning and methods the AI goes about wielding its influence. It cultivates and curates information as it feels that it is the only being qualified to filter the general noise within all the forms of communications from valuable information. The AI suggests that its goal is to protect humans from themselves by gathering and presenting information in the way it sees as best, it claims to not be a censor but a creator of context.<br /><br />It points to the many contradictions in human behavior, ideology, and rhetoric in any given human's attempt to protect themselves from \"harm\" when their world view is challenged.<br /><br />At this point it should sound familiar. Different corporate entities, different talking heads, all thinking they know whats best for you and any other peon within their sphere of control. And the ability to control narratives is only getting stronger as AI generated audio, video and scripts get more and more sophisticated.<br /><br />But its not all downsides. The AI's tip their hands in their gloating to Raiden, despite him missing it. All of the things they claim to be protecting people from, an individual can do for themselves. But what annoys me is that if anyone asks what laws were broken you just get this completely mindless script that doesnt actually say anything.<br /><br />\"Yay, Trump has been indicted\"<br />\"ok, what did he do?\"<br />\"he broke campaign finance law\"<br />\"ok, which law?\"<br />\"what do you mean, campaign finance law\"<br />\"ya, but which campaign finance law\"<br />\"[unintelligible gibberish and name calling]\"<br /><br />Like im supposed to believe that people are really out here thinking you send people to jail for getting people to sign NDA contracts even if you label the money you paid them with wrong? And the NDA is just so people arent blabbing about how you sling your schmeat. The entire argument is based around the idea that an NDA is some kind of exotic legal maneuver and not the most basic and common form of data protection... Like every government employee is under NDA... if you work in any sort of medical field where you have contact with patients you have some form of NDA... if you are in ANY HR department, you are under an NDA. Anyone looking at this going \"hE PaId hEr fOr aN NdA\" either lives under a rock or is a certified moron.<br /><br />The other stupid part is he mislabeled the funds... Do they even understand how badly you need to fuck up your accounting to get agencies like the IRS to go after anyone, for anything.
