Well, I consider myself a broad man, so the list of my proudest creations, I think, would span a vast space. Here are a few things that immediately spring to mind. I made a tablature format that I had never seen before and that I am genuinely surprised to have not seen since I made it. I went to a patent office in Troy, Michigan in my early twenties to try to copyright or patent (or whatever) the concept, and the lady at the office laughed me out of there. She said I could not claim a language, which is what she considered what I was trying to patent or copyright. Still, I am proud I had the gumption at such a young age to pursue such a bold course. I created music in my teens I would love to have some good effect on others, though that music was exceedingly amateurish. Music I have created since my teens and twenties is serviceable though incomplete, since I think it lacks a second voice. All my compositions, even when completed, are half songs. I wager in five-hundred years hence (in 2522), the Legendary Lee Canady will be my biggest legacy, because it is my most dynamic self-expression so far in my life (who knows, maybe I will surpass myself somehow some day). Truly, calamity or controversy or confusion will overshadow anything I think my life will be known for, because time remembers from its own perspective instead of your perspective, and culture will change in time to oppose what my culture is today. The march of time seems hell-bent. Back to the original question. What have I made that I want to share with the world? I made many personal items that I would not mind the world seeing very long from now or even after I die. I make my own camera straps, and each take over a dozen hours at least to make. There are many more personal items I made, but they will remain a mystery for now. I almost forgot to mention Roy Rowlands (I made a captivating documentary on him [Roy made it interesting]). I also did political interviews and slice-of-life interviews all over Detroit, including recording Detroit street musicians over the years. I am using some sort of V-pick (maybe the \"Red Rocker\"). The amp is mic'd with a pair of Sennheiser MD-421's (one two fingers away and the other a little more than a foot away). I sang into a Shure SM7B into a Cloudlifter (all audio fed into my Zoom H6). Oh, and I filmed it all using vintage manual lenses (Nikkor 1981 85mm f/2 [face] … Vivitar 1980's 60mm-300mm f/4.5 [body] … Nikkor 1972 55mm f/1.2 [green screen lyrics]). Eddie's fellow bandleader, saxophonist, Richie Cole, who was walking out of the door next to Eddie was not shot. :—:— The date was Monday, May 7th, 1979, when Eddie strolled into Lee's record shop with an odd familiarity as if Eddie had been to Lee's Monroe Music plenty of times before, though Lee (a busy man himself) never remembered seeing Eddie prior to that Monday. Eddie told Lee that he had just come in from Chicago and was trying to find his way to his own group's Detroit gig that night. Lee told him how many city blocks to walk and which two buses to catch in order to arrive at the concert. Eddie was thankful for the guidance, and Lee was welcomed to attend. Lee wanted to see Eddie Jefferson sing that night, but Lee thought better of seeing Eddie that night, and only hours hence, Eddie would be dead from gunshot wounds.

VIDEO ABOUT

Saturday, December 18th, 2021 :— Detroit Street Photography Session number 234 :— “Lee Canady: Arbor For Artists” :—:— I focus on two tales in this write-up but the names and times had abound and bound off Lee's lips in this whirlwind of when well-to-do's sought Lee's point of view. :—:— I talked to Lee, and we hope to reshoot this story with more details (as outlined in this write-up). In The D.\" :—:— The Newest Drummer In Town :— I filmed further my documentary with a Detroit music mogul in Detroit today and afterwards decided to drop by Detroit's Eastern Market, which is the second oldest farmers market in the Western Hemisphere. Aside from getting Amish jam and raw honey in the market, I spied a newcomer drummer drumming dutifully and urgently around the corner from the old haunter of the haunt himself, Deon Forrest, the King of Detroit bucket drummers. Deon Forrest is a long and well established rhythm maven in street form around D-Town. Sawyer, playing with a regular (albeit cleverly spartan) drum kit, made his own mark on the scene that day. I snapped a shot or two of him when I met and chatted initially with him, and then I walked around the market and the city. It was impressed upon my heart that to get a good audio and video recording of Sawyer would be a good thing, so with his permission, I did just that in public, the place to prove oneself. Prove himself Sawyer did, and the video ends with an interview with the man himself, Sawyer Dupree.

Hey, I can rock out too:
https://rumble.com/vjzc6u-jam-session-catalinbread-blood-donor-fuzz-pedal-on-bass-and-keys.html

——————————————————————————

#Detroit #Meme #Drums #Music #Art

——————————————————————————

Deon Forrest is the KING of Detroit Bucket Drums
https://youtu.be/f-gW4maLxNY

——————————————————————————

• For my latest and best videos, please visist me on Rumble: https://rumble.com/user/rellish
• Support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/seedetroitlikeido
• To see my earliest political work up to the present, you must find and follow me on BitChute: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/t9HSaUg8woPj
• Check out my curated short video works on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rellish3214
• View my most-neutral content on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmWGEXMZfJn5tutCOgK_dtg
• Admire my Detroit street photography on Tumblr: https://ryanellisphoto.tumblr.com
• I most love the alternative social media website, Minds, and I would like you to subscribe to mine after you make your own (do it now!)
