A famous saying is \"There are no atheist's in fox holes.\" When your life is on the line you will seek Jesus.... But what most people do not realize is that 365 24/7 our lives are on the line...... I asked Jesus to save me when I was 8 years old, it was the best decision I ever made. It saddens me how so many people who claim to be \"Christians\" make Salvation a process that includes Works.
The Bible is written plain and clear. Salvation is not a mystery. You do not have to be a Church Member to be Saved. You do not have to Turn from your Sins to Be Saved, that is Works. Turning from your sins is to forsake sin, to stop sinning. Jesus died for sinners not for self righteous people who want to claim they are not going to sin anymore... which is impossible. You do not have to be baptized. Baptism is not required to be saved. A person is Baptized to symbolize the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. To proclaim to the world that they are a born again believer in Jesus.
My Pastor Noah Oxley preached to everyone.... every service he included children in the service. If you talk to kids, directly to kids they will listen. Because of this preaching I knew I was a sinner, that deserved to go to Hell. I prayed to Jesus: \"Lord Jesus I believe you are the Son of God, please forgive me of all my sins, I am a sinner who deserves to go to Hell. Please save me Jesus. I believe that you died, were buried and that you rose again on the third day to save me from the penalty of all my sins. I accept you now as my Savior.\"
If you have never asked Jesus to save you than you are lost and on your way to Hell. There is only one reason a person goes to Hell and the reason is they reject Jesus free gift of Salvation. The Bible verses that showed me how to be Saved: 1 Corinthians Chapter 15
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Ephesians Chapter 2
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Romans Chapter 10
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.", "to": [ "https://www.w3.org/ns/activitystreams#Public" ], "cc": [ "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/817071569510604813/followers" ], "tag": [], "url": "https://www.minds.com/newsfeed/1127154215287070720", "published": "2020-07-07T08:28:24+00:00", "source": { "content": "We all have to make decisions. A famous saying is \"There are no atheist's in fox holes.\" When your life is on the line you will seek Jesus.... But what most people do not realize is that 365 24/7 our lives are on the line...... I asked Jesus to save me when I was 8 years old, it was the best decision I ever made. It saddens me how so many people who claim to be \"Christians\" make Salvation a process that includes Works.\nThe Bible is written plain and clear. To proclaim to the world that they are a born again believer in Jesus.\nMy Pastor Noah Oxley preached to everyone.... every service he included children in the service. I accept you now as my Savior.\"\nIf you have never asked Jesus to save you than you are lost and on your way to Hell. There is only one reason a person goes to Hell and the reason is they reject Jesus free gift of Salvation. The Bible verses that showed me how to be Saved: 1 Corinthians Chapter 15\n1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;\n2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.\n3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;\n4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: John 14:6\n“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 3:16\n“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Ephesians Chapter 2\n8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:\n9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Romans Chapter 10\n8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;\n9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.\n10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.\n11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.\n12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.\n13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.", "mediaType": "text/plain" } }, "id": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/817071569510604813/entities/urn:activity:1127154215287070720/activity" }, { "type": "Create", "actor": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/817071569510604813", "object": { "type": "Note", "id": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/817071569510604813/entities/urn:activity:1121494612153151488", "attributedTo": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/817071569510604813", "content": "Lies hurt.
