"content": "The Biblical record for Judah and Israel appears to give a suggested explanation for what has been happening to Western Culture, especially for the USA . The warnings from God came again and again from the Prophets and were spoken, in the main, to the elite establishment whether at Bethel / Samaria or at Jerusalem. Those addressed by and large ignored or ridiculed the Messengers or conspired against those who sought to make the changes that refocused life and Cultural Norms upon The Word of the Lord. There is a strong sense/ possibility that Josiah, for example, was betrayed and killed at Megiddo by the Judah elite establishment who were perhaps a 5th column acting in Concert with Pharaoh Necho.<br /><br />What happens to a people or a culture that turns away from haDabar Eloheynu (The word of our God)? Israel and Judah in the Old Testament record are examples of what can happen: Punishment at the hands of Enemies allowed if not directed by God (Syrians, Assyrians and Babylonians) great destruction, Captivity and long term Enslavement especially for the survivor elites and any who had skills. The haAm haAretz (people of the land) farmers and lowly are in some cases allowed to remain on the land under conqueror overlords. ",

I and a faithful group of folks left the large Liberal oriented Lutheran Grouping in 1992 and established three small traditional Biblical and Book of Concord oriented Congregations. I have created a Group here on Minds.com entitled \"Biblical/ Book of Concord Lutheran Christian Thoughts and Discussion.\" Lutheran Christians with this orientation, or folks from within other Church Bodies or folks who would like to be part of a cordial and courteous discussion who are seeking answers or information are welcome to join the new Group. I posted an initial item for Discussion and it will be interesting to see what discussion might ensue. Many thanks to the folks who have set up Minds.com as an alternative!",
