Isn't all food \"land-based\"; I thought all plants and animals live on the land. <br />To my ear this sounds very similar to the quote from sycophants of the former president whats-his-name talking about \"plant based beer\" with a tone to imply that its a bad idea.<br /><br />Maybe that is part of our problem, some people don't understand that all food is or should be land-based.<br /><br />This article also points out that gardening, done properly, does have to be labor intensive. Any garden that can still be found 150 later has to have been a good one. <br /><br />\"...the gardens have become lasting hotspots of biodiversity, even 150 years after colonists forcibly removed the inhabitants from their villages. This work, combining archeology, botany, and ecology, is the first to systematically study the long-term ecological effects of Indigenous peoples’ land use in the region. I think I circulated a link to that study, spoiler alert, that study has lots of problems and could have/did contributed to some of the covid19 nonsense. <br />\t<br />\tfrom the medlife crisis channel, about page<br />\t<br />\t\"I'm a cardiologist, internal medicine doctor & university researcher that makes science videos and bad jokes. Offbeat topics you won't find elsewhere, enriched with a government-mandated dose of humour. Trained in Cambridge; now PhD-ing in London.<br />\t<br />\tThere's a lot of bad science on YouTube, especially medicine, with quacks and clowns peddling garbage. <br />\t<br />\tFor people interested in science, comedy and mostly useless biological trivia, subscribing to this channel was found to be non-inferior to placebo. If that isn't a ringing endorsement I don't know what it is.<br />\t<br />\tWho says science has to be serious?<br />\t<br />\tDr Rohin Francis\"<br />\t<br />",

Even try leaving a comment, I'm really testing out the video server.<br /><br />BACK-STORY<br /><br />It all started yesterday morning; Mother Nature was putting on a very rare pre-dawn lightning show and I have a new waterproof camera so there was nothing else to do but go out and play in the rain. After an half an hour, I had collected a dozen shots of lightning strikes. The camera worked great but now I had a new problem; what to do with all these cool shots.<br /><br />Well, there was a lot of boring stuff between the cool shots so it was time to break out the video editor, Blender, and do a little triage on the footage. I'm working on learning how to edit so right now its more accurate to describe it as triage:-) O'course once I had little clips and a full featured video editor in front of me, there was nothing left to do but to put them all back together again, add a few transition, some dialog and a info slide to make a proper video. But now I still had a problem, what to do with the video.<br />",

It eludes to the differences between the age related decline that we see in Biden and the current POTUS. It talks about how an untrained observer might think the two behaviors are comparable and lead down the same path; I know I was wondering about this.<br /><br />I short, Biden gaffes don't point to violent outcomes or unfitness-for-duty but trump's conditions, which are different, clearly are precursors to violent outcomes and a clear unfitness-for-duty. In fact, he has promoted violence from the stage and it has only been the better behavior of others that has minimize that violence. We can only guess at what he promotes in private.<br /><br />I'm hesitate to even send this out but the video is clear and unemotional, I feel it is a worthy review and that more folks should see. The mainstream media is missing so many of the facts that we need to make informed decisions. I try to avoid passing around simple rants with no facts or references. For me, this video has provided more non-emotional arguments that give comfort to my present position on this subject. It is also useful when I'm confronted by low-information voters.<br /><br />If you have other factual, reality based information on mental health and aging I would love to hear it.<br /><br /><br />",
