Transition, wear that gender's uniform. The fuck else do you need?<br /><br />\"...visible cues of support should also be promoted – such as rainbow lanyards, the transgender flag and other objects that mark a visibly inclusive approach.\"<br />-This shit in the workplace has always made me very uncomfortable. Who I want to sleep with is not my co-workers' or boss's business, and the fact I'm transsexual is EVEN MORE private. I'm there to work. I'm not there to find a date, and I'm not there to find transition support. All I'd want at the work place is if a boss found out in my records, keep it private. Of course, us private people aren't given a shit about. No, we all need to wave flags around for no god damn reason. <br /><br />\"Fostering the establishment of networks for LBGT+ people can also help to make a workplace more inclusive, as can having visible role models in top hierarchical positions – such as leaders or spokespeople.\"<br />-No, just make sure someone can tell me how do to my job if I don't know it yet. I can go elsewhere to find out how to be queer.<br /><br />\"Respecting pronoun choices, including gender neutral ones “ze”,“xe” or “they”, and normalising the use of these alternatives to “he” or “she”, is important for inclusion.\"<br />-Having to play your fucking pronoun game because I need food and shelter makes me hate \"transgender\" people with a fiery passion. Humans come in 2. You're a human last I checked. Work time is not play time. If your boss wants to allow it, that's his business. I shouldn't be forced to play your game. Fuck you!<br /><br />\"Inclusive approaches cannot be a “tick-box exercise” or merely a way to deal with compliance.\"<br />-You've made us all not care, so now any \"inclusivity\" we do these days is just a show to avoid getting sued or fired. We don't actually care about you and your feelings. You did this.<br /><br />\"Gender identity and sexual orientation inclusion needs to be embedded in every aspect of the organisation\"<br />-I fix computers! What the fuck does does two men or two women going at it off hours have to do with POST codes?! Why does LGBT need to be EVERYTHING?! WHY?! 1 - don't fire the gays for being gay. 2 - Employees are not allowed to harass the gay employees. 3 - Same applies for the trans people. Bam, done, what else do you need?! <br /><br />\"It’s important that staff members are aware of what constitutes bullying, harassment and discrimination\"<br />-We operate on bizzaro rules these days. If I leave a \"trans\" alone and do my job, it's harassment. Forcing me to use words not found in my language and defying all logic, however, is perfectly fine. <br /><br />\"Transgender people may chose not to alter their bodies through medical assistance\"<br />-Then I may or may not use your pronouns. *shrug*<br /><br />I miss the days when trans policy at the work place was just not using the name from my old documents, being able to follow the female dress code before my driver's license was updated, and management who knew about my transition kept their mouths shut about it. That's all I needed. I really miss those days. No rainbows, no pink white and blue BS, coworkers wouldn't be fired for clocking me... I had a lot more control over the situation back then. If a coworker figured me out, the fact that he or she didn't fear for her job didn't start me off debating against resentment. <br /><br />In today's \"inclusive\" world... I'm afraid of someone finding out. I'm not worried I'll be beaten, or anything like that.. I'm worried my gender that I went through so much to remove focus from, the way it's nothing to \"cis\" people, will be front and center. That I'll get special treatment I don't want or deserve. I'm terrified that one background check too deep and I'll be the center of attention for the very thing I wanted out of my focus. \"Transgender\" didn't make the world less scary for transsexuals... they just changed who I need to be afraid of. If a transphobe wanted to beat me to death, at least it'd have ended. Today, if I'm pushed in to the center of attention... it just goes on... and on... and on...",

"content": "\nhttp://theconversation.com/half-of-transgender-and...\n\n\"...who do not identify as either ...\"\n-I can't even stand hearing the word identify anymore.\n\n\"Workplaces should be made as gender neutral as possible...\"\n-Actually, they should be as normal as possible, unless your business specifically caters to something weird.\n\n\"Organisations should offer employees a choice to adapt clothing requirements to their needs without having to comply to “male” or “female” stereotypes or having to conform to a “one uniform fits all” rule. \"\n-'Trans' people need special privileges? Transition, wear that gender's uniform. The fuck else do you need?\n\n\"...visible cues of support should also be promoted – such as rainbow lanyards, the transgender flag and other objects that mark a visibly inclusive approach.\"\n-This shit in the workplace has always made me very uncomfortable. \n\n\"Fostering the establishment of networks for LBGT+ people can also help to make a workplace more inclusive, as can having visible role models in top hierarchical positions – such as leaders or spokespeople.\"\n-No, just make sure someone can tell me how do to my job if I don't know it yet. I can go elsewhere to find out how to be queer.\n\n\"Respecting pronoun choices, including gender neutral ones “ze”,“xe” or “they”, and normalising the use of these alternatives to “he” or “she”, is important for inclusion.\"\n-Having to play your fucking pronoun game because I need food and shelter makes me hate \"transgender\" people with a fiery passion. Humans come in 2. You're a human last I checked. Work time is not play time. If your boss wants to allow it, that's his business. I shouldn't be forced to play your game. Fuck you!\n\n\"Inclusive approaches cannot be a “tick-box exercise” or merely a way to deal with compliance.\"\n-You've made us all not care, so now any \"inclusivity\" we do these days is just a show to avoid getting sued or fired. We don't actually care about you and your feelings. You did this.\n\n\"Gender identity and sexual orientation inclusion needs to be embedded in every aspect of the organisation\"\n-I fix computers! \n\n\"It’s important that staff members are aware of what constitutes bullying, harassment and discrimination\"\n-We operate on bizzaro rules these days. If I leave a \"trans\" alone and do my job, it's harassment. Forcing me to use words not found in my language and defying all logic, however, is perfectly fine. \n\n\"Transgender people may chose not to alter their bodies through medical assistance\"\n-Then I may or may not use your pronouns. *shrug*\n\nI miss the days when trans policy at the work place was just not using the name from my old documents, being able to follow the female dress code before my driver's license was updated, and management who knew about my transition kept their mouths shut about it. \n\nIn today's \"inclusive\" world... Today, if I'm pushed in to the center of attention... it just goes on... and on... and on...",
