"content": " Obligation is defined as an act or course of action to which a person is morally or legally bound; a duty or commitment. A moral obligation must be an obligation which is enforced by a sense of morality, or in someway directed imparted by the concept of morality itself, which can only be done onto the holder of a given set of morals. In other words, we are not compelled by our own sense of morality to follow that of others. Though we can be coerced by social pressures and laws, at this point the obligation ceases to be moral and becomes social or legal. Therefore, moral obligation is subjective to the individual, and cannot be imposed externally. This proves true even if we assume objective morality; because even if there is an objective standard by which we can evaluate correct behavior, there is no means by which we can universally impose a sense of morality, or a sense of moral obligation towards that objective standard. This is evinced simply by the existence of people who do not feel the same moral obligations or have the same moral sensibilities as stated within any particular belief system. Therefore, any belief system which claims absolute moral obligation is false in that regard, even if it can successfully establish absolute morality. (God enforcing morality through punishment is still a form of social/(legal?) obligation.) ",
