I think we are both a little more mature than to make that assumption. <br /><br />The problem isn't socialism or Islam. The problem is extremism and tribalism.<br /><br />Extremists exist in all world views. Every gamer here has heard the \"you hate [console x] so Im going to skull rape your mom\" threat.<br /><br />90% of every single ideology is made up of people whom are just trying to get from one side of life to the other without massive cataclysm. The rest, what we on the internet call the \"vocal minority\" are what fucks it up for everyone.<br /><br />I know this argument wanders a bit (it has been a very stressful weekend) so I'm just going to get to the final point. Saying \"Radical Socialism\", \"Radical Christianity\" or \"Radical Islam\" is not the answer to any problem. The answer is to chip away at the base of problematic philosophies via calm discourse with the majority of people who aren't fucking insane and watch the TFG crowd dwindle. that's how all of humanity's \"bad ideas\" (like monarchy or feudalism) came to dwindle down to nothing. Democrats (as in, proponents of democracy\" have just chipped away at the not-totally-barmy crowd until the problematic wing crumbled under the awesome weight of it's own absolutism.<br /><br />In short, the pattern isn't \"Muslims\" or \"right wingers\", the issue is extremism, which exists in all movements.
