At least, I'm seeing that bandied about a lot. As an old fogy at this platform (at least it feels like) I can say I did before and well ... things did move on and calm down. I suspect then and now Ottman will 'make an examples' to appease the trad horde then get back to more productive things with his time.<br /><br />Of course, we've all seen this shite before tho and know what can happen when the horde taste blood in the water.<br /><br />So, to the artists worried about their art, may I suggest LBRY. It's a decentralized alt-media platform that is mostly used by youtubers but can host all kinds of media. Comic books, pictures, novels, any kind of static media files basically.<br /><br />Now with this suggestion, I will say: use the apps. They run more on the protocol, LBRY, than the company site Odysee does. On Odysee, they are making similar noises as Minds at the moment. You can't have NSFW show up on Odysee, for example. Not a problem, or as much of one, on the apps. And if they boot you off their content hosting, the apps are also p2p (and it mostly works).<br /><br />Hey, I tip there with my crypto as well. It'd be nice if I could actually get some artists on there so I could get to tipping. They also have auto-tips by views, by the by.<br /><br />As for folks who just peruse, I'm including a link to a spreadsheet I recently did. Basically, calculates a budget for your tips and gives you a 1 to 5 rating to tip on how much you like something. Cause, despite what the moralfags think, I am neither a simp nor childish with my finances.<br /><br />Who knows, if we can get enough artists over there, it might attract more code-bros to help shore up the code for the decentralized parts. God knows relying on my coding skills to keep the lewd in LBRY is a bad idea, lol.<br /><br />Also, get on a social media site that is actually federated.
