"content": "I've just discovered a guy called <a class=\"u-url mention\" href=\"https://www.minds.com/rubberdorky\" target=\"_blank\">@rubberdorky</a> on the youtubes....looking to see if he is on Bitchute etc - I like this guy's delivery, easy to listen to with some good points coming from a sensible standpoint. I don't like to label people conservative, liberal, left wing or anything. I know I hold a mix of views and I think most do too. Whatever - check out <a class=\"u-url mention\" href=\"https://www.minds.com/rubberdorky\" target=\"_blank\">@rubberdorky</a>....I hope he is still making videos and I am not just picking up vids from a year ago or something. ",

"content": "Just had my first annual diabetes review. I'm a week off my first year as a type 1 diabetic. I know it's not an achievement per se but it is a milestone for me. <br /><br />I'm doing well and am in a place where I am as safe as I can be from complications from the high blood glucose levels the inability to produce insulin brings unfortunately I have managed to gain weight despite continuing to exercise and watching (from a diabetic point of view) everything I eat. So now I'm healthy from a diabetic point of view but I am close to a BMI of 25 so my goal for the next year is to get back to my pre-diabetes weight while keeping my glucose under tight control.<br /><br />I'd like to get away from injections and move to a pump but I can't get funding - this sucks. Making the health of type 1 diabetics better will save money in the long run but there is no funding for such technology - and here is the shit bit.....if I save up and fund my own technology I lose access to the doctors and I'd be on my own to manage a complicated disease. It's all a bit crazy. I'd like to do what I can to help myself but if I can't get any support it is not necessarily a good thing.<br /><br />So keeping the running going, adding in a fourth weights session a week and being extra good with food (that's the hard bit, isn't it?) <br /><br />Tomorrow is a 10km run in the morning and kickboxing in the evening - 30g of carbs for breakfast and 20 for dinner, keeping insulin injections as low as possible. No carbs unless I'm going to burn them off....that is the rule for the next couple of months, see how the weight goes with that.",
