But it is best not to linger too long and focus your energy on something constructive, because tuff times are coming.<br /><br />I do have 2 thoughts that linger on my mind:<br /><br />1. I think that Trump played some 4d chest by helping the libtards to win and I don't think it is for the same reasons most conservative influencers will say.<br /><br />I think that Trump will make a nice deal with the Libs and allow Canada to become a socialist hellhole because he wants to encourage the american lefties to migrate to Canada.<br /><br />Instead of fighting a loosing battle for another 4 years, like he did in his last term, he is trying to create an appealing way out for his opposition and to remove them peacefully.<br /><br />I understand, but I don't enjoy Canada becoming a dumpster.<br /><br />2. The conservatives lost because of dumb boomers who are still mindless slaves listening to the CBC. Just one more opportunity for the boomers to ruin our ENTIRE LIVES... 😡",

I've stopped hosting and/or attending family to the point where I consider these people strangers.<br /><br />To be fair, I was the only free market capitalist in a family of socialist bureaucrates. I'm not kidding, about 90% of them work for the government and either vote socialist or communist.<br /><br />At some point I was just tired of their bullshit and complaining. It was like being in an asylum full of idiots and I felt I was going to lose my shit everytime they acted like autoritarians forcing me to stop talking.<br /><br />On the other end, we have to realize that the world just got radicalized to the point where people of opposing views can't get along. Everywhere I look I see people cutting ties.<br /><br />Even at work, leftists are spewing their ideological bullshit everywhere. They spew it loudly during lunch breaks, in online meetings, they are almost spewing it on the intercom. We are forced to listen to DEI videos and listen to bosses self flagelate about how they need to do better and be more inclusive.<br /><br />To be honest, I eat my lunch alone in the office now and I avoid corporate social events.<br /><br />The last thing you wanna do is stir the water because they are going to come for you and fuck up your life.<br /><br />To sum things up: am I isolated right now? yeah, I think so. But it sure beats interacting with these people.",

Except it is a Jacob ladder for the damned.\n\nThis isn't even subtle, with the choir in the background. \n\nJust like Jacob wrestled with his God; Arthas wrestles with his. You see the conflict within him as he climbs up; you hear the voices of everyone he loved.\n\nSo now Arthas leads a nation of the damned. LOL!\n\nI just did not see the biblical reference before. It strucked me as I was listening to Jordan Peterson's biblical series at work today :-P ",

"content": "I’m continuing my exploration of the Red Book, by Jung, and I hope you can indulge me by allowing me to express some thoughts I had that came out of reading this book :<br /><br />Jung was walking through the Highlands when he came across the pagan giant. Jung lost his marbles and begged the giant not to kill him. The Giant told Jung that he was not after his life and he asked Jung if he could help him on his quest. <br /><br />The Giant was looking for the location where the sky touched the ground to find where the Sun sets. The giant believed that this quest would grant him eternal life.<br /><br />Jung told him that there is no such location because the Earth wasn’t flat. He explained that the Earth is a sphere and that the Sun never really sets because it is always rising somewhere.<br /><br />This information devastated the Giant. Jung shattered all his believes and the giant lost the will to live knowing that his quest was undone.<br /><br />Jung, trying to save the giant, convinced him that by renaming him, he could have power over him and save him. Which is a reference to the book of Genesis, where the Christian God asked Adam to name the animals<br /><br />I want to pause the story there because there is so much to unpack :<br /><br />At the end of the, ElderScroll online, Clockwork City DLC, you have a conversation with Sotha Sil that I find increadibly relevant here. ‘’I suffer from a peculiar ailment… I bear the cruel weight of certainty. Total, absolute, relentless certainty. People rarely comprehend the luxury of doubt…’’<br /><br />The Giant in Jung’s vision takes the form of a pagan God because he represents spirituality. Jung’s learned that the certainty provided by science is the death of spirituality. Spirituality requires the sacred, the infinite, something that is beyond our reach and cannot be known.<br /><br />Before I continue this discussion, I need to point out that I’m a biochemist, I apply the scientific method at all times. To me, it is a way of life that is not based on faith because this method produces reproducable predictions that exceeds mere chance. I am also a Celt, which is an ethnicity, a culture and a spirituality. <br /><br />I’ve seen Christians, Jews and Muslims trying to fill the gap between faith and religion and fail miserably. I’ve also seen Russians atheists, who pretend their beliefs are based on science, gobble up the silliest wu they find on the internet.<br /><br />Personally, I think it is weak and pathetic to try to use science to prove to the world that yours is the one true faith. But this is not the conversation I’m trying to have today.<br /><br />The real issue is that science is not the right tool to explore spirituality. By definition, the scientific method is a tool use to make accurate predictions about the natural world based on empirical observation. Thus, science cannot predict anything about the supernatural.<br /><br />The correct tool to explore spirituality is metaphysic. The same tool used by the philosophers and religion to understand morality and the meaning of the world.<br /><br />To be honnest, I believe the world needs both science and spirituality :<br /><br />I believe that science is an essential tool humanity can used to tame nature (by nature, I mean all of the natural world, which is everything that can be measured in the observable universe) to suit our needs. I also believe that spirituality provides meaning to our lives.<br /><br />Man could not exist in a world of plenty, where he is the master of his environment, while he has a gamping wound, a spiritual void, that is a lack of meaning in his life.<br /><br />Also, man could not exist has a dumb ape, affraid the sky will fall on his head. Curse with a short miserable life; a slave to the cruelty of mother nature.<br /><br />The lesson to be learned is that two aspect of the world can exist at the same time; they can both be essential and they can both be seperate. There is no need to square a circle. Once you made your peace with this, you can be complete and live an healthy life.<br />",
