He was basically a savant.<br /><br />He was a former Islamist and Al Qaeda recruiter who deradicalized and became a fierce advocate of free speech and civil discourse as the breeding ground of change. <br /><br />We've been working for over a year with him and his organization Parallel Networks on a project that will be released next month and I'm heartbroken that he won't be here for it. <br /><br />Love you Jesse. You were a great friend to me and I'll miss you, brother. We will never stop fighting to keep the conversation alive.",
