"content": "It has been a while, but the time has come for another rant. For the first time it is not political.<br /><br />Headline: Screw SiriusXM!!!!<br /><br />Background: <br />I have been a SiriusXM customer since 2011. Loved the service, especially with the long commutes I seem to keep. <br /><br />Had a aftermarket head unit in my '86 F-150 and transfered it over to my '93 F-250. <br /><br />When I bought my '13 F-150, I transfered my account over after the free trial ended.<br /><br />When I got the '18 Sentra, I once again transfered my service. Oen was driving the F-150 and she doesn't use it. <br /><br />Over the past year I have found myself using it much less, about 30 minutes a month. Spotify has taken its place. <br /><br />Recently, I purchased a Honda Civic, it didn't have SiriusXM and I haven't missed it. <br /><br />We traded the '18 Sentra in on a '21 model which will be Oen's daily driver. She doesn't use SiriusXM, but we discussed continuing the service and decided against it.<br /><br />Fast forward to today. <br /><br />I tried to cancel my subscription. First attempt was online. 3 attempts to reset my password failed (30 minutes on chat finally rectified that issue), only to find out the only way to cancel a subscription is to call customer service, a euphemistically named department in this case.<br /><br />15 minutes into a 4 minute estimated hold time I had to go back to work so I hung up and called back after I got off work at 1700. <br /><br />Estimated hold time was now 10 minutes, so I took the option to have them call me back in 10 minutes. <br /><br />1hour and 45 minutes later, 10 minutes before their call center closes, they finally called me back only to put me on hold again. After about 30 minutes of smooth jazz and constant reassurances that my call was very important to them, I hung up again.<br /><br />Suffice it to say I am less than pleased with the situation<br /><br />I will be posting this on every social media platform that I can. I may even sign up for Twitter and Snapchat again for just this purpose. <br /><br />I will also be posting this on every review website I can find. Copy and paste will be my friend.<br /><br />Summary: SCREW SIRIUSXM!!!",
