Most decline, as it's easier to remain protected than to venture into these vulnerable waters. The excuses for not diving in and swimming deeply are plentiful, and our minds always have a way of justifying those reasons, though it simply comes down to fear, cloaked in a garment of self-sufficiency, which is rooted in ego. Nevertheless, we believe our own stories, and hence very few will see these depths. Oh that we could all disrobe and swim freely!

Laura 😊❤

OBSERVATION OF A SANCTUARY Marriage is a common thing, and many people do it differently. Some engage to enter it with a firey romance, while others live separate lives while sharing household duties. Can romance sustain you? Are you satisfied with your agreed upon arrangement? Do you know that marriage was created to be something more? There is a place where two dance as one. It is a place of openness, honesty, and struggle. It is not a place you find, but one that you build in your marriage: a sanctuary. This is not for the lazy or the timid. It requires work, not only in removing your personal network of self protection and realizing truth about who you really are, but also in choosing to not respond selfishly when your spouse does the same. Vulnerable, open, honest, trusting your spouse. It is from this sanctuary that the wife draws her security and identity, and the husband draws his confidence and esteem. Naked bodies are easy. Naked souls, that's something else. Does this scare you? Then toughen up, because this what we are called to. And it's what you agreed to when you said the words: I DO.

Bob Rl Hardesty
",
