That is to figure out what went wrong with the engine. Took me another week to get the scooter apart install them parts needed and put it all back together.<br /> Every thing was in good shape just rings where bad. I could have gotten away with just replacing the rings, for much less than $10 bucks<br />I priced new parts to replace the 50cc top end, both the bore, piston and head. Basically was only $50 bucks. I then priced the same parts to up grade to a 80cc. The cost was the same ( ordering parts separately is much cheaper ) it was a simple decision to go for the 80cc top end.<br /> The hardest part was getting the timing set just right. Seems so simple just put the crank and the can on the timing marks and put the timing chain on. Fustrating hours where spent trying to do something that has to be done exact, one tooth off and the engine won't run.<br /> When it was all back together and it was time to start the engine. I was relieved when the scooter run great starting on the first try.<br /> Wow it runs great now.. The exhaust sounds deep and throaty, sounding like a much bigger motorcycle.
