"content": "Providing support for our headliner Roni Size at The Tropicana we have a lineup consisting of some of the areas absolute finest DnB DJ's & MC's. One of them being XYZ Events very own showrunner SKANKY GENERAL. <br /><br />Skanky General brings an excessive amount of energy behind the decks combined with quick technical mixing on up to 4 CDJ’s. Many years of experience in the scene, DJ'ing at huge events and festivals all over the country and holding residencies with big promoters throughout his career has proven that he can fully deliver the goods. <br /><br />Having performed alongside the likes of Friction, Danny Byrd, Aphrodite, Bladerunner, Serial Killaz, Audio, DC Breaks, Bryan Gee and many many more over the years, we are privileged to have him on the lineup for this event. <br /><br />Not one to just stick to a single genre of dance music, his diversity means he is just as comfortable playing multi genre sets (as well as house, garage, reggae and even hip hop showcases at certain events) as he is dropping the latest Drum & Bass bangers. "content": "Continuing with our lowdowns on the artists performing at our forthcoming event headlined by the mighty RONI SIZE, we are thoroughly hyped to have our good friend, the mega talented BLUEJAY on microphone duties on the night. <br /><br />Bluejay, South West native and Bristol based master of ceremonies has been a staple name on the circuit for some time. Having passed through the majority of the cities biggest promoters, Bluejay has performed alongside a wealth of heavy hitters such as Doc Scott, Randall, Bailey, DJ Patife, Dom and Roland, Furney, Random Movement (to name a few). <br /><br />His style of hosting has made him a popular choice among promoters & DJ's alike. He is very much about the vibe of the set, complimenting the music rather than showcasing non-stop bars of lyrics. We also have the pleasure of welcoming back for this event another Bristol based DJ/Producer with a long history in the South-West, the incredibly talented KICKBACK. <br /><br />We've personally known Kickback since the very start of his career when we were all DJ'ing for GBH Events back in the 90's, since then he has gone on to DJ all around the country as well as producing a heavyweight back catalogue of tracks for labels like CLSM, Warped Science, Ghetto Dub and his own label Warehouse Wax. In 2020 while we were all locked down Kickback was busy setting up a brand new label X-AMNT alongside the legendary DJ Bunjy, already slaying dancefloors with their recent releases they are proving X-AMNT is a true force to be reckoned with. <br /><br />Originally starting out as a hardcore DJ and owner of Spin Central in W-S-M (back in the days of record shops) Kickback set about making his mark on the scene, clocking up plays over the years for such rave giants as Westfest, Fantazia, Fusion, Hardcore Heaven and Vibealite among others. "content": "Hosting Roni Size's headline set at our next event at The Tropicana is a firm favourite with the Inferno crew, having previously hosted at the last two Sat In A Field Festival Inferno takeovers as well as performing a live HipHop showcase at the last one in 2015, Carasel is very much part of the Inferno family. <br /><br />'Different flows for different shows' is how Carasel responds when asked to describe his style. Never one to be pigeon holed into one corner of the sparse and ever changing Drum & Bass landscape, Cara is just as well known for his high energy, fast paced lyrical sets going toe to toe with the MC greats at his residency at DnB institution Warning, as he is holding down 3 hour sets letting music be very much at the forefront and focus point at his regular appearances at Hospitality. <br /><br />Versatility is key, being able to read the crowd, when to hype and when to get lyrical is something that can only be perfected with years of experience and Carasel has that by the truck load. He has worked and performed with pretty much every major brand in the scene and has lent his hosting abilities to scores of festivals and club nights of all shapes & sizes in many different countries and continents, being able to adapt has been essential. Carasel holds a great passion for the music he loves & sets himself ahead of the pack with a great knowledge of the music he is hosting. <br /><br />As well as running his own label AFT Records, he has had vocal releases on some of Drum & Bass’s most respected labels including Hospital Records, Formation, Audio Clone and even released his own debut solo album, ‘Progression’ in 2012 (A well received HipHop project which featured collaborations with some of the biggest artists in the DnB scene) which once again underlined Carasel’s versatility as both a host and recording artist. <br /><br />Carasel's tracks have gained radio support on BBC Radio 1, 1xtra, Kiss & Rinse and he has appeared as a guest on Crissy Criss’s & Hype’s show as a live guest, his performance with Sigma at Glastonbury was even broadcast live to the world on BBC Radio 1. He has also had printed press spots in Knowledge, ATM, Trap, Mixmag and many more. <br /><br />Carasel has been a preferred host of choice for a wide range of artists. "content": "Hosting Roni Size's headline set at our next event at The Tropicana is a firm favourite with the Inferno crew, having previously hosted at the last two Sat In A Field Festival Inferno takeovers as well as performing a live HipHop showcase at the last one in 2015, Carasel is very much part of the Inferno family. \n\n'Different flows for different shows' is how Carasel responds when asked to describe his style. Never one to be pigeon holed into one corner of the sparse and ever changing Drum & Bass landscape, Cara is just as well known for his high energy, fast paced lyrical sets going toe to toe with the MC greats at his residency at DnB institution Warning, as he is holding down 3 hour sets letting music be very much at the forefront and focus point at his regular appearances at Hospitality. \n\nVersatility is key, being able to read the crowd, when to hype and when to get lyrical is something that can only be perfected with years of experience and Carasel has that by the truck load. He has worked and performed with pretty much every major brand in the scene and has lent his hosting abilities to scores of festivals and club nights of all shapes & sizes in many different countries and continents, being able to adapt has been essential. Carasel holds a great passion for the music he loves & sets himself ahead of the pack with a great knowledge of the music he is hosting. \n\nAs well as running his own label AFT Records, he has had vocal releases on some of Drum & Bass’s most respected labels including Hospital Records, Formation, Audio Clone and even released his own debut solo album, ‘Progression’ in 2012 (A well received HipHop project which featured collaborations with some of the biggest artists in the DnB scene) which once again underlined Carasel’s versatility as both a host and recording artist. \n\nCarasel's tracks have gained radio support on BBC Radio 1, 1xtra, Kiss & Rinse and he has appeared as a guest on Crissy Criss’s & Hype’s show as a live guest, his performance with Sigma at Glastonbury was even broadcast live to the world on BBC Radio 1. He has also had printed press spots in Knowledge, ATM, Trap, Mixmag and many more. \n\nCarasel has been a preferred host of choice for a wide range of artists. "content": "Our headliner RONI SIZE needs absolutely no introduction, a true pioneer of the scene, godfather of Bristol Drum & Bass and one of the first UK artists alongside Suv, Die, Krust, Onallee, Si John and Dynamite MC as Reprazent to take DnB to a global stage. <br /><br />24 years ago, The Mercury Prize win for his ‘New Forms’ album brought DnB to the forefront of dance-music news, making even the rest of the industry – where reactions had up until that point been bemused – sit up and pay attention. For several years thereafter Roni and team were on top of the world, succeeding as solo artists as well as a collective, maintaining underground credibility yet receiving MOBO, Brit and Music Producers Guild awards and even collaborating with some of the biggest names in hip hop. <br /><br />Over the years Roni Size has cemented his position at the top of the game, continuing to release a huge catalogue of music on his Full Cycle Records label among others and with live shows everywhere from Glastonbury, Boomtown, NASS, Creamfields, SW4 to a headline show at the BBC 6 Music festival and a curated Full Cycle Stage Takeover for Arcadia Afterburner as well as many others. <br /><br />In 2017 Roni toured his ground-breaking new audio visual live show, a combined live instrument and hardware show that featured state of the art production and 3D effect projection mapping celebrating 20 years of New Forms. Roni took the ground-breaking live show on the road to festivals in the UK and Europe as well as on extensive tours of the US, New Zealand and Australia with no let up as he also DJ’ed at the very best clubs and festivals throughout the globe. <br /><br />The man from Bristol shows no signs of slowing down, as he continues to travel to all corners of the globe to play clubs and festivals as well as appearing on guest spots across BBC Radio.
