The rite was held in a privately owned gallery kitty corner to Ontario Gallery of Art in Toronto. Curtains were hung over the windows to allow for privacy. <br /><br />When I entered the large open space thw first thing I heard singing what would in time become a familiar song \"Allu Mari\" and the crowd was listening intently as Jennifer stretched her three octave voice around the sadly beautiful words.<br /><br />Fir the first half hour or so folk mulled around until the summoner made his call. Giviing us instuctions on how to proceed he let each of us enter the circle one at a time, or two in the case of my daughter and I. She was in my arms after all.<br /><br />The rite had begun<br /><br />By the time it had ended I knew that I had discovered a place where my spirit kin came to gather and celebrate not only the Gods if ancient days but also the lives of those who gave them honour.<br /><br />This first step in my public life as a Pagan wiuld see me follow many roads and paths as I discovered the ways of the Gods both in ancient and modern times.<br /><br />It's been a long and interesting journey. One in which I was challenged to see the Universe and the World we live in a variety of lights. Some bright. Some dark. Some simply dim from lack of polishing. Each one unique unto itself <br /><br />Some things came easily. Some presented challenges I thought I'd never conquer. Some were simply moments that words are inadequate to describe. <br /><br />None I would have missed fir all the world.<br /><br />It's been a good Journey so far.
