Inflation. In order to actually deflate the currency, we need to remove dollars from circulation. So, the US would need to raise interest rates.<br /><br />But not as our first action, it is our first thought.<br /><br />Second, we inform the public that every able-bodied person should purchase and train with a firearm. Once interest rates rise, nothing can be bought by regular folks, so that's another situation:<br /><br />Third, we also supply seeds, soil, and other necessary related products for various foods to the public. Throughout this, there should be public broadcasting (aka propaganda) that supports the ideas of growing your own food, firearm practice and safety, owning farm animals as a community. The cities would have alot of trouble with this, so there would have to be reworked systems.<br /><br />Because alot of jobs would be lost, including my own, the ability to feed/water yourself and defend yourself, along with some knowhow, would be the only way to survive effectively. Some could build communities from the ground up, become new hubs for trade and bartering.<br /><br />Fourth, after officially rising the interest rates, we put those dollars towards the national debt EXCLUSIVELY. This might even be paid off within a generation, if we're lucky.<br /><br />Fifth, we give up our position of power in the world, but warn other countries that our spending on national defense will remain consistent to the Gold Standard. Of course, all troops would be pulled home and the world would need to solve its own problems. None of this being sudden, we need to warn allies ahead of time. Treaties would be broken. Trade routes lost.<br /><br />America needs a break, as much as I love my fucking country. But we need to retire from being World Police. We've stressed ourselves out, fought amongst our own families and neighbors. Everyone needs to quiet down, and work on living for themselves, and:<br /><br />Sixth, the Government, after supplying a permanent payback to the citizens of the United States for the absurd amount of taxes, shall ensure the defense of the homeland from foreign invaders exclusively, and not turn their guns and knives inward upon the American people. Permanently. The citizens will conduct themselves as they wish, police departments will be run exclusively by the states without federal intervention. Since everyone owns one or more firearms, is trained with their firearms, then everyone has a means to defend themselves in case of malicious intent. The police will only arrest violent or indecent offenders.<br /><br />Drug usage and mental instability will rise in occurrence. We must acknowledge this as well when we engage in communication and in this period of time, and not penalize those with a hard time coping. Things are tough enough NOW. Show them how to live. They'll thank you for it.<br /><br />Overall, be kind to one another.<br /><br />If this is done, where we close down the myriad of inane institutions the government has and turn most manufacturing plants and land to the American citizens, we might be well off in the long run. Our founders worked for their meals and were happy, plentiful people. Nobody would be slaves, everyone would defend their communities, and we wouldn't starve to death. We would build new trade systems, repair our own roads, and work for what we desire. The trades would be a focus. <br /><br />Life would have purpose once more, to those of you depressed about the world today.<br />There is a solution, and that's to work for yourself.<br /><br />None of this is mandated. It is prepared by a selfless government that would be willing to take the hit while defending its own borders. At least one of these is from YOUR TOWN.\"<br /><br />Yeah, that'd be me, a Granite Stater born and raised, born '98. Didn't understand politics until College tried to convince me of something I didnt know, then I made it a point to do YEARS of catch-up. Once I got through and paid close attention to the 2018-today bickering, I recalled some talks from 2016's election with my high school buddies:<br /><br />Every State makes its own laws, and the National Government focuses solely on Foreign Policy and National Defense. <br /><br />Smaller and smaller local governance builds an invincible network of communities.<br /><br />It took me some time to find my political stance. I despise control over citizens firstly, which at that point is akin to a slave/master relationship. Hence why AI progress I am highly skeptical of. We humans build tools to better ourselves. If we make servants, we have gone back to slavery.<br /><br />We cannot confuse our body's natural compositions with artificial compounds and genetic alterings, unless absolutely medically necessary.<br /><br />I don't like labels on anyone, either. We can cuss out folks with a rainbow of slurs, but once we align ourselves with groups, we open ourselves up to group-think and riots. Being Team Red or Team Blue is tribal, and should be reserved for sports or competition that doesn't hold your wellness of life to a vote of \"no progress or fake-good\". How about we rely on ourselves? Easiest function. We can interact with whomever we please, however we please, so long as no violence has taken place. <br /><br />Kids are a priority to be protected, NOT coddled. We will teach kids how to prepare for the world, not mindless trivia when they have clear passions in a given direction. Practical Studies of industry, gardening, farming, and the like should be incentivised available similar to apprenticeships. But, so are the Arts and Humanities. The best part is in every subject, we can facilitate growth by promoting apprenticeship-style careers. <br /><br />This is just a beginning exploration of ideas I have for the most ideal society. Everyone functions as themselves, not the masses or the governments. We can govern lightly, but understandably disincentivise violence. That's it.<br /><br />I'm not R, or D, or L.<br />I'm myself. One of them is King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. I drew this when their 'Infest The Rats' Nest' album released back in 2019.
