I can only assume it was because I moved. I updated my address on both my accounts but that still wasn't enough for them.<br /><br />They locked me out of my HSA debit card AND my Smiths grocery card with zero notice, texts, emails, or letters in the mail.<br /><br />Meaning, despite how I just had this expensive move and a bunch of money money saved up n my HSA account. I had to pay for everything on a card I have to pay back at the end of the month.<br /><br />I also had to try and figure out why my grocery card wasn't working while I had a line of impatient people standing behind me.<br /><br />FUCK Mastercard! This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a credit card company.",

Some of the richest ones are the least productive----more than that, they're hideously parasitic.<br /><br />So how can you demand average, struggling working class Americans to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and have a work ethic, when they see so many of those at the top living through income based on speculation, usury or worse?<br /><br />\"Do what I say, not what I do\" is all the extreme capitalists have to say to the rest of America. "content": "Been hearing sites talk about this, did my own fact checking. To be fair, they are vague and as a consequence we have people wildly speculating. <br /><br />I have said things over text that even after the fact checking, this news still makes me feel uncomfortable. They are now a step closer to cracking down on people like myself.<br /><br />However, as of now in its current form, it just sounds like they will go after the mass message texts sent by these 5 digit numbers and maybe use an algorithm like Facebook where if covid is mentioned enough or in a certain way they send you a generic link telling you why you are wrong. <br /><br />While I think they are overstepping their reach for sure, and I don't like it either. This alone is not a Snowden level spy operation. Besides, we already have that and it is very old news at this point. People should still be outraged about it. <br /><br />This reminds me of the whole WhatsApp controversy. While I am always supportive when people are becoming more serious about their privacy, I still think the way people arrived to the conclusion was dumb. in that they are only now getting uncomfortable about a years old WhatsApp policy by an app owned by Facebook of all places. "content": "The issue with the Dr Suess publisher no longer printing some of the books is not a \"Freedom of speech\" or \"woke\" issue as much as it is an issue with Intellectual Property (IP).<br /><br />To get some things straight: <br />The publisher simply stopped printing the books they found unprofitable. These books are still legal to own, buy, sell ect.<br /><br />However, with the publisher having a monopoly on the printing rights, this is essentially just a 'soft ban' due to no new copies will be printed.<br /><br />I understand they are a private company and should be able to do what they want. However, consider that abandoned physical property is something the original owner is generally considered to have forfieted their rights over. Much like when you toss a coin in a wishing well, it's no longer yours.<br /><br />These Dr Suess books are now abandoned and therefore, should go into the public domain. Hopefully, other media companies can give these books the love and care they need. Who knows, maybe they will find a way to make these less popular books more popular.<br /><br />It's time for common sense IP reform. IP should be like a muscle, \"use it or lose it\".",
