Therefore, the Lakewood Populist dedicated its first special neighborhood print edition to the east Lakewood communities. <br /><br />Several residents, upon being told that the newspaper was about their local community, appeared eager to read it. Only a handful delcined the newspaper, which was their right and we respect that.<br /><br />Two thousand newspapers were printed, the vast majority of them being folded, rolled up and delivered to homes between the 605 Freeway and Coyote Creek. In particular, check out the neighborhood of east Lakewood, divided by the San Gabriel River and/or 605 Freeway from the rest of the city.<br /><br />The neighborhood is inundated with HOMELESS ENCAMPMENTS. Women have reported being attacked. Congested housing, thanks to Dem mandates, has coincided with a proliferation of area homicides. Then you reportedly have the area being used as a dumping ground for outside law enforcement to place unwanted criminals. (This is what people talk about in the area.)<br /><br />What you have is discontent.
