"content": "I work for Big Pharma<br /><br />So now that we are finally almost out the other end of this horrible ordeal, I can finally be a bit more open with what has been going on with me.<br /><br />I work for big pharma. Yes, the literal shit that has been in the news this whole time.<br /><br />They underpaid me by a lot, barely above a fast food worker for a really good degree, delayed my raise for almost half the duration of this entire ordeal (to still way below what I should be getting) and took advantage of me completely. Basically, this is purely about money. That's all anyone at the top ever talked about, how people would be fighting each other to buy our product. How we could not keep up with demand. The stock value! Wow! It is sickening to think about.<br /><br />Meanwhile, I was barely getting paid enough to get by, driving a shitty beat up car, living under shitty shared conditions, and getting censored by people who think what I do all week for work is a \"conspiracy theory.\" I couldn't take any other job because there was no other job options, and they even refused to let me work from home, or even lay me off in a way where I could collect unemployment (which was A LOT more than I was making!)<br /><br />It has been the most infuriating time of my life, and I hated it. Not only did I have almost no one to talk to, because they would immediately call me a liar or a \"conspiracy theorist.\" But I also got treated like absolute shit at work for almost no pay at all. Meanwhile, the top of the corporations are sending out political emails about Biden's transition before the election is even over, and talking about the insane amount of money the corporation is making. Look into when these corporations started development of these products. It was before the shutdown ever happened! I worked around this stuff before the shutdowns took place, it was all about the location where this started until the shutdowns happened.<br /><br />Let me tell you something, they never want this to end. There are projects to supply the-products-that-I-cannot-talk-about to roll out 2+ years from now, and that's just the start of when it will be available. If the products get banned in one place, just export to another!<br /><br />For the love of Jesus, please, stop listening to the media! This is all about money, and this is by far the worst job I have ever worked in my life. I am hoping to quit soon because I cannot stand this any longer, and that's the only reason I feel comfortable talking about this at all. It feels horrible knowing I cannot fully talk about it knowing I risk a ban for speaking the truth. There is no one to turn to, and they will never let this end if you keep buying.<br /><br />I don't even know what else to say. I feel horrible. I tried to reason with people. The money is absolutely blinding to all logic or reason. Meanwhile, I got paid absolute shit. Just enough to cover bills. It was a huge struggle just to move, and they didn't even pay me for the few holidays I had. If I took a day off, I got paid nothing. The stress alone made me take some off, and then more just for the move. I was paid nothing for those days, even though I needed them just to keep working. No work from home option, either.<br /><br />So, I don't know what else to say. Maybe this will help some of you understand why I have been the way I have been. I am hoping to leave my work now that other opportunities are possible. It's the final stretch. For a while, it was the only option I had besides fast food, and I had bills due.
