"content": "I have started going to bed later again and noticed this morning I woke feeling exhausted still!! I realized that I have been going to bed later and it is catching up to me.<br />I'm going to make a point to get to bed earlier the rest of the week. <br />Here are some reasons why sleep is so important!<br />.<br />.<br />Sleep is restorative, and without it we are not able to work, learn, create and communicate at our highest level. With time, lack of sleep can lead to mental and physical breakdown.<br />.<br />.<br />Sleep has also been shown to be linked to the immune system. "content": "What is the best diet to follow?<br />.<br />.<br />This is another questions that I often get asked. And there is not really one answer to this question. The best diet (meaning what you eat everyday and is your lifestyle) is one that you can stick with and allows you to feel amazing!<br />.<br />.<br />My personal opinion is you don't have to put yourself into a box and just be paleo, vegan, vegetarian, plant based, low carb, high carb, gluten free, or whatever other lifestyle diets there are. <br />.<br />.<br />If you are restricting your consumption of specific whole foods for an extended period of time, because your diet says, you might miss the signs your body is sending you that it NEEDS those nutrients. <br />.<br />.<br />When it comes to your diet and health, the nutrient combination is more important the the diet you follow and the calories you consume. Include the nutrients your body needs to function. <br />.<br />.<br />Stick with whole foods as often as possible.<br />.<br />.<br />I believe different things work for different people at different times. Sometimes we need to change our diet up to feel our best.<br />.<br />.<br />If something isnโt working or doesnโt feel right then you may need to adjust, change, keep seeking, keep learning, keep trying.<br />.<br />.<br />When you eat whole foods and are able to try a number of them, you can't go wrong. This is why I believe there is no such thing as a perfect diet, and I believe that different things work for different people at different times.",

"content": "Are there any foods that can help reduce belly fat????<br />.<br />.<br />I have been asked this questions a lot lately so figured I would address it here too!!<br />.<br />.<br />For most people, subcutaneous fat โ the kind that is pinchable, and lies just under the skin โ accounts for around 90% of total body fat.<br />.<br />Intra-abdominal or visceral fat accounts for the remaining 10โ15 percent. Since it resides in your stomach cavity and covers your vital organs, it's often referred to as belly fat.<br />.<br />Visceral fat is one of the most dangerous because it surrounds your organs and can cause inflammation.<br />.<br />The good news is that visceral fat can be one of the more easily lost forms of fat with daily exercise and a well-balanced diet. <br />.<br />Of course everybody's body is different and we can not necessarily target where we lose our fat from. However, there is some evidence that some of the following foods can be helpful along with an overall healthy diet and exercise.<br />.<br />.<br />Some of the foods that may be helpful in losing belly fat include:<br />-sweet potatoes<br />-green tea<br />-fermented foods (kombucha, kimchi, fresh sauerkraut, plain kefir or Greek yogurt)<br />-omega-3 rich fatty fish (like salmon)<br />-eggs<br />-edamame<br />-blueberries (raspberries and strawberries are good too)<br />-avocados<br />-asparagus (been shown to reduce bloating)<br />-chili peppers<br />.<br />.<br />Just consuming all of these items won't help you lose belly fat unless the rest of your diet is in order. To lose belly fat, make sure you're eating a diet that includes these foods while still providing enough calories and lowering insulin levels.<br />.<br />.<br />I also do a cleanse that has been scientifically proven to help reduce visceral fat. "content": "Are there any foods that can help reduce belly fat????\n.\n.\nI have been asked this questions a lot lately so figured I would address it here too!!\n.\n.\nFor most people, subcutaneous fat โ the kind that is pinchable, and lies just under the skin โ accounts for around 90% of total body fat.\n.\nIntra-abdominal or visceral fat accounts for the remaining 10โ15 percent. Since it resides in your stomach cavity and covers your vital organs, it's often referred to as belly fat.\n.\nVisceral fat is one of the most dangerous because it surrounds your organs and can cause inflammation.\n.\nThe good news is that visceral fat can be one of the more easily lost forms of fat with daily exercise and a well-balanced diet. \n.\nOf course everybody's body is different and we can not necessarily target where we lose our fat from. However, there is some evidence that some of the following foods can be helpful along with an overall healthy diet and exercise.\n.\n.\nSome of the foods that may be helpful in losing belly fat include:\n-sweet potatoes\n-green tea\n-fermented foods (kombucha, kimchi, fresh sauerkraut, plain kefir or Greek yogurt)\n-omega-3 rich fatty fish (like salmon)\n-eggs\n-edamame\n-blueberries (raspberries and strawberries are good too)\n-avocados\n-asparagus (been shown to reduce bloating)\n-chili peppers\n.\n.\nJust consuming all of these items won't help you lose belly fat unless the rest of your diet is in order. To lose belly fat, make sure you're eating a diet that includes these foods while still providing enough calories and lowering insulin levels.\n.\n.\nI also do a cleanse that has been scientifically proven to help reduce visceral fat.
