"content": "Random thought of the day.

Probably not related to movies, tv shows or pop culture in general, just something I remembered a few days ago when I heard more people talk about how great the stimulus money was and how it would be nice to get another stimulus check or 'stimmy' as they called it, from the government.

I remembered a conversation I had about twenty years ago with a co-worker at the time about money and making ends meet. She went on about her and her family making a dollar go as far as they could. I agreed and then I started talking about inflation and federal reserve notes. I could tell that was the point when I lost her in the conversation. Her eyes seemed to glaze over.
She asked me, \"What is a federal reserve note?\" I took a moment and replied, \"You know what a dollar bill is? That's a federal reserve note.\"
\"Oh\" she replied simply. I tried to go on about how money wasn't really worth the paper it was printed on but it was useless and the conversation came to a slow end just before our break ended.

What I took away from that conversation is what I'm seeing play out on a larger scale today. "content": "Random thought of the day.\n\nProbably not related to movies, tv shows or pop culture in general, just something I remembered a few days ago when I heard more people talk about how great the stimulus money was and how it would be nice to get another stimulus check or 'stimmy' as they called it, from the government. \n\nI remembered a conversation I had about twenty years ago with a co-worker at the time about money and making ends meet. She went on about her and her family making a dollar go as far as they could. I agreed and then I started talking about inflation and federal reserve notes. I could tell that was the point when I lost her in the conversation. Her eyes seemed to glaze over.\nShe asked me, \"What is a federal reserve note?\" I took a moment and replied, \"You know what a dollar bill is? That's a federal reserve note.\"\n\"Oh\" she replied simply. I tried to go on about how money wasn't really worth the paper it was printed on but it was useless and the conversation came to a slow end just before our break ended. \n\nWhat I took away from that conversation is what I'm seeing play out on a larger scale today.
