"content": "About freethinking<br />Modern people have internalized the idea that \"one man can't make a difference.\" Today, having your own position seems not just strange to the vast majority of people, including thinkers, but impossible.<br /><br />This is largely because today's intellectuals cannot envision themselves outside of an institution. Every institution is embedded within some hierarchy. It cooperates with it.<br /><br />Of course, there are independent institutions—like crews of Malay pirate ships or teams behind successful blockchains. But the circle of these revolutionaries is exceptionally narrow and terrifyingly distant from the masses.<br /><br />The average intellectual today serves some institution. And the fact that they serve it is seen as an exceptional benefit. Intellectuals are terrified of losing their jobs, and this is understandable. A plumber can easily find work but try finding a job as a philologist or an art historian.<br /><br />That's why today's intellectual almost always agrees to adopt \"corporate beliefs.\" They reason that it's better to agree with some murky nonsense than to spend the rest of their days among the homeless behind garbage bins.<br /><br />The average modern intellectual doesn't believe it's possible to live comfortably outside of institutions. \"Building a financial machine\" or \"starting your own business\"—that's not for a philologist. That's for decisive guys with a sharp, calculating mind, a strong jaw, and a thick Colt revolver.<br /><br />Interestingly, those capable of building such \"machines\" have long adapted to this state of affairs. They treat \"intellectualism\" as a sort of corporate attribute. Sure, there's the corporate style, business cards, brochures, and the company's \"mission\"... And for all this barely profitable but necessary nonsense to maintain appearances, you need a philologist. To write slogans and clearly explain why our particular hierarchy supports feminism, Kamala Harris, or advocates for Gaza.<br /><br />In other words, the job of a corporate intellectual is the job of a servant. They're no different from a hairdresser or a waiter. And they don't even dare to think about not sharing the \"corporate beliefs.\"<br /><br />What does this lead to? It leads to the fact that there are virtually no \"free thinkers\" left today. I've probably met five in my lifetime, and I've interacted with many people from various walks of life.<br /><br />Today, those who champion the \"corporate ideology\" of the Democratic Party in the U.S. are often labeled \"free thinkers.\" This ideology includes sympathy for all fashionable causes, hatred for capital and business, leftist, feminist, anti-colonialist, green, and traditionally pro-Islamic views.<br /><br />Needless to say, these people are not thinking freely. They express themselves from within an ideologically charged space, strictly within the boundaries of the prevailing ideology.<br /><br />These so-called \"free thinkers\" are opposed by unpleasant, greedy, misogynistic, racist, traditionalist conservatives. Their range of beliefs is just as clearly and permanently defined as that of the \"free thinkers.\" It's a set of relatively random and often contradictory statements.<br /><br />For example, the conservatives' inclination toward \"Christian faith\" doesn't mesh well with their aggressive and often bloodthirsty patriotism. Meanwhile, \"free thinkers\" label Islamophobia as racism while simultaneously supporting both feminism and the burqa.<br /><br />It is this contradiction that makes it impossible to be a free thinker within an established ideology. If someone is truly thinking, they will inevitably notice these contradictions.<br /><br />However, there's something else to consider. If someone comes to me claiming to be a \"free thinker\" with a strong belief in certain established views, I know they never had and never will have a choice. Everything was chosen for them.<br /><br />In other words, if someone claims to have chosen to align with a specific set of \"established views,\" they're lying to themselves and others. They didn't choose anything. They agreed to think and speak certain nonsense out of fear of those around them.<br /><br />So let's summarize. Want to be a free thinker? Build your personal financial machine. And make sure it doesn't ideologically depend on any of the powerful hierarchies.<br /><br />If a \"thinker\" receives a grant from a large and very \"free-thinking\" university, that thinker will not be able to think independently. They will work within the \"rules of free thinking\" established by the grantor.<br /><br />That's why there are virtually no truly free thinkers today. To teach people to think freely, they must first be taught to \"earn freely.\" And this is where the most ferocious revolutionary struggle of our time takes place.<br /><br />Those who have broken free are now trying to pull their friends and others away from the ideologizing and feeding hierarchies. And this is an incredibly thankless task. Because the friends and others resist, and the hierarchy is always ready to strike the liberator with a metaphorical cruise missile.",
