"content": "My most recent <a href=\"https://www.minds.com/search?f=top&t=all&q=OC\" title=\"#OC\" class=\"u-url hashtag\" target=\"_blank\">#OC</a> <a href=\"https://www.minds.com/search?f=top&t=all&q=art\" title=\"#art\" class=\"u-url hashtag\" target=\"_blank\">#art</a> for the Frontier Rangers series, currently in the worldbuilding stage.<br /><br />Jinsa Greytooth, my first BUFF <a href=\"https://www.minds.com/search?f=top&t=all&q=werewolf\" title=\"#werewolf\" class=\"u-url hashtag\" target=\"_blank\">#werewolf</a> GAL, is a Lycan from the central mountainous regions of Intriga. Intrigan Lycans are a rather reclusive species, preferring to live close to their pack lands and avoiding excessive interaction with country folk of a different race. They do however hold a strong sense of Intrigan patriotism as a whole and often lead long careers in both the Guardsmen and Military occupations.<br /><br />Jinsa is a 28 year old <a href=\"https://www.minds.com/search?f=top&t=all&q=Lycan\" title=\"#Lycan\" class=\"u-url hashtag\" target=\"_blank\">#Lycan</a> who enlisted in the Guardsmen side of the Intrigan military, who finds herself on the frontlines of the Northern Frontier civil conflict. Her academic efforts earlier in life have landed her in an officer role of Executive Officer of the small battle team of Frontier Rangers, known as Shiver Squad. Tall in stature and powerfully built, Jinsa carries herself with quiet pride and authority. <br /><br />Jinsa manages the rest of Shiver Squad when the commanding officer is not around, or as the leader of her fire team. She specializes in tracking Insurrectionist activity, Stealth, and Speed.<br /><br />Jinsa’s hobbies include long runs in the forest at any point in the day, regular physical sparring sessions with the larger and more powerfully built Rangers on the mats, reading horror fiction and listening to folk tales from the local colonists by the firelight.<br /><br />",

"content": "This was a recent piece done for an OC of mine. Through an experiment with the art of Eldritch and Lovecraftian horror, I came up with this guy.<br /><br />A large, towering alien mimic creature, the Beacon, or Beaker as I call him, lives in on the border of the Northern Wilds in the fictional country of Intriga. <br /><br />The creature itself originated from beyond our stars, landing within a meteorite in the North of Intriga. A small, formless mass, hungry and curious to its surroundings, pining for a larger object or life form to imitate.<br /><br />When the creature finally absorbed a local animal with eyesight, the alien that would become the Beacon cast its gaze upwards, revealing a towering structure above it, one that had once trafficked and monitored the movement of surface ships from centuries past.<br /><br />The young creature became fascinated with its towering elder, and wished to take its place, but to do that, it had to consume. To learn. To grow. To adapt. <br /><br />That’s what he did. From the local flora, the creature mimicked the flowers and the trees of Intriga’s forests. From the creeping creatures of the forest floor to the climbing mammals of the treetops, the creature became a quick and evasive monster, and to the humans of the land to the sailors and ships of the sea, the monster became a legend, sinking ships and absorbing the flesh and technology of the mortals that dominated the vessels of the rivers.<br /><br />The creature never forgot the structure that had inspired it. One last time it gazed upon its once proud beauty, a memorial to the mortals it now preyed upon. A light now glow from the monster’s topmost region. It had now truly replaced its teacher.",
