My A1C back then was 11.4. My resting sugar I just found out in December when I had covid was 400. Even after I was feeling a little better and went back to work it was still around 400.

When I was diagnosed and told about my diabetes I was at a hotel in Livonia. The Dr assistant called me and told me that I had diabetes, that I need to start insulin and go to Sandusky right away to pick up my prescription and if I had any questions to make an appointment the next morning in Deckerville.

Well, for those of you who don't know, Livonia is over 2 hours from Deckerville and I had to work the night she called me. Sandusky is just down the road from me. So I simply asked first if insulin is the injection I have to stab myself with and she said yes. Then mentioned where I was and unable to make it home for my prescription and appointment due to work and being such short notice to work. I was also unable to afford to take a day off work and drive home because I went all of December with no work.

So they set up my prescription pickup in a CVS in Livonia and my Dr appointment in a week and a half. When I went to CVS and bought my prescription. It was around $200 with my insurance. I was also never told I was taking metformin also. As the pharmacist gave me my prescription she asked me if I had any questions. I said yes, several. Like how to check my glucose because one of the things was a glucose moniter. Another I asked is how often I need to take metformin and insulin and where I have to inject the insulin. Her response was my God they didn't tell you anything. Then she showed me what I needed to do and tested my glucose. It was at 404.

If you know me then you know I hate medication and not wanting to spend $200 a month. So I got rid of everything I know turns into glucose that I could think of in my head. So anything with sugar, high fructose corn syrup, fruit and carbohydrates. So basically left me with meat, cheese and water. A diet I have heard about but haven't tried. The carnivore diet.

So in a week and a half I had my Dr appointment. I also decided to learn as much about this diet as I could. I also called my sister and mom and talked to my uncle Donald Vannorman about my diabetes. My sister asked me my A1C and also asked me my previous A1C. I told her my current one and I tried calling the Dr office to find out my previous one. The assistant told me if I had any questions I had to make an appointment. So in the meantime util my appointment I look up as much as I can about this woe(way of eating). The good, the bad and the ugly. I looked up speeches on YouTube from Dr ken berry, Dr Anthony Chaffee, Dr Paul Mason, Dr Jason fung, mikhailia peterson, steak and butter gal, Dr Paul saladino, my zero carb life, Joe Rogan all support this diet. I've also watched videos that were very skeptical about this diet and many were vegan and vegetarian such as Dr Gregor and mic the vegan. Also some documentaries about food and diabetes.

I also looked at comments. I came across a comment saying the way to cure tyoe 2 diabetes is from a whole foods vegan diet. So I interacted and down the line they told me that to reverse my diabetes I need to go on a diet of white rice, table sugar, fruit and fruit juice. Pretty much a glucose spike from the pits of hell. My response was I want my life to be a marathon and not a sprint. Also I mentioned not to take medical advice from him or myself. The vegan and vegetarian documentaries I watched said that meat was the reason for all of our ills that we have yet pointed to McDonald's and KFC. Now I know that fast food comes with breading, soft drinks and high carbs deep fried. From other videos I also learned that starches such as those found in tubers turn into glucose as well.

So come my Dr appointment and my glucose has been steady at 110 to 120 for nearly a week. And for 3 days before my appointment I forgot to take my insulin. I told my Dr this and about the pharmacy and her assistant during the appointment. She also told me that my previous A1C in October was 5.2. She told me I was pre-diabetic at that time and stupid me I just thought everyone was pre-diabetic until they actually are diabetic. So I took it as a grain of salt and didn't worry about it.

But she told me I could quite taking my insulin since my glucose was dropping. And also if my glucose jumped to take a reduced amount of insulin. If I start feeling fatigued out of nowhere and dizzy to eat a candy bar. This was her advice to me. I have done neither and my resting glucose is always in the normal range now between 70 and 100, usually low normal 70 to 80.

I've done this woe for my diabetes diagnosis. But I have also had a thing I've been trying to find out for nearly 3 years. I would get headaches, dizzy spells, horrible cold spells where I would feel frozen even in in hot temperatures. I was also at 270 lbs. I have not had any headaches, dizzy spells or cold spells for the last month and a half. I've also been losing an average of 5 lbs a week, currently down to 220. The only really bad issue I had with this diet was bad diarrhea, I mean toxic oil spill looking shit. It lasted for a while but my stool is back to normal now. I feel my energy rising all the time and feel great.

Dr Paul Mason has lectures about cholesterol and how most cholesterol tests we get only tell us about 3 different types of cholesterol without telling us the variations of them.

Dr Jason Fung tells me about the importance of fasting and intermittent fasting. I will mention why I disagree, my thoughts of the effects and so on.

First is I disagree with it because cost of living changes in different parts of the country. Cost of living in California is much higher than say Kentucky. Even within a single state the cost of living changes widely. In fact here in Michigan it's much more expensive to live in Kalamazoo and Ann Arbor than say the rural northern part of the state. 15 an hour might be small in the city but in the rural areas it's quite a bit.

We live in a nation where the average household in poverty has multiple televisions, multiple cars, smartphones, WiFi, streaming service/ cable/ satellite, AC/ heat, gaming consoles, electronics and so much more. Try going to a third world country and see if they have that. Even in other countries that are considered 1st world we have a better threshold of living here.

Also I hear about inflation. Well inflation is going to happen no matter what. Especially with the printing of more money like we have been doing. We see it in our food prices. Social epidemics such as the riots cause inflation we can see in supplies such as lumber. Environmental concerns cause inflation, example gas prices. Raising a federal minimum wage would also increase inflation. Therefore less value for your dollar.

Let me explain why I said federal minimum wage and not just a minimum wage. Many when talking about inflation of prices in a localized area they point to a national or international company such as McDonald's. Those companies are large enough to curb the rise in minimum wage in one small area because they can siphon from a much larger area. It would mostly affect smaller companies that don't have the ability to balance from areas not affected by the change. In these smaller companies inflation will happen as they will need to pay more for supplies. They might have to cut hours and layoffs because of rising prices for having employees. Some might have to close down entirely or won't even be able to start up.

Now with a federal raise in minimum wage it will affect national chains such as Wal-Mart and Taco Bell. Also those making over the new minimum wage don't usually get a wage increase that matches the increase of those not making it. So it essentially lowers the amount in the middle class by increasing the gap between the poverty line and the wealthy.

Another one is its a massive increase in some areas. In many of these places you have individuals that worked for years to het to the 15 dollar mark. So now it'll cause resentment because they'll most likely get a very minimal raise if any while new hires will be coming in at the same wage they worked for years to get.

Another reason I really don't like minimum wage is it makes it harder to negotiate the price of labor. It is a decent starting point I guess. But the thing is it discourages bargaining for wage.

Till next time. Some might have to close down entirely or won't even be able to start up.\n\nNow with a federal raise in minimum wage it will affect national chains such as Wal-Mart and Taco Bell. Also those making over the new minimum wage don't usually get a wage increase that matches the increase of those not making it. So it essentially lowers the amount in the middle class by increasing the gap between the poverty line and the wealthy.\n\nAnother one is its a massive increase in some areas. In many of these places you have individuals that worked for years to het to the 15 dollar mark. So now it'll cause resentment because they'll most likely get a very minimal raise if any while new hires will be coming in at the same wage they worked for years to get.\n\nAnother reason I really don't like minimum wage is it makes it harder to negotiate the price of labor. It is a decent starting point I guess. But the thing is it discourages bargaining for wage.\n\nTill next time. The obstacle isn't in front of you, it's within you.", "mediaType": "text/plain" } }, "id": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/1194649395434364942/entities/urn:activity:1235385461683421184/activity" }, { "type": "Create", "actor": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/1194649395434364942", "object": { "type": "Note", "id": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/1194649395434364942/entities/urn:activity:1234786777076727808", "attributedTo": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/1194649395434364942", "content": "Hunter Biden changed his look up...", "to": [ "https://www.w3.org/ns/activitystreams#Public" ], "cc": [ "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/1194649395434364942/followers" ], "tag": [], "url": "https://www.minds.com/newsfeed/1234786777076727808", "published": "2021-04-30T08:41:47+00:00", "source": { "content": "Hunter Biden changed his look up...", "mediaType": "text/plain" } }, "id": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/1194649395434364942/entities/urn:activity:1234786777076727808/activity" }, { "type": "Create", "actor": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/1194649395434364942", "object": { "type": "Note", "id": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/1194649395434364942/entities/urn:activity:1227634473946718208", "attributedTo": "https://www.minds.com/api/activitypub/users/1194649395434364942", "content": "Wow.
