It also just looks funny on the table with the NES and PS2 (and if you look closely, a cat) underneath it.<br /><br />Over S-Video the signal is bearable but 800x600 is pretty blurry and hard to read, given that US TV's only really have about 480 scanlines. And yes, one of them is plugged into a TV from 1989.<br /><br />Three different graphics cards, OS's, keyboards/mice, and monitors, in the following configurations:<br /><br />1 - Pop!_OS, running Half-Life via wine, on a modern AMD 5700xt, on a modern 32\" screen, but with an early 2000s IBM PS/2 keyboard and mouse adapted via a PS/2-&gt;USB adapter.<br /><br />2 - Windows 2000, running Half-Life natively, on an nVidia 9400GT from 2008, plugged through a VGA-&gt;HDMI adapter to an old 720p insignia flatscreen TV. Normal USB keyboard, Logitech MX Master 3 mouse, passed through to win2k using evdev passthrough in qemu.<br /><br />3 - Windows 10, on an ATI HD 5770 from 2009, plugged through an HDMI-&gt;Analog NTSC adapter to a 10\" CRT Television, and a regular USB keyboard/mouse.<br /><br />Why these exact configurations? Mostly just because it's what I had laying around.
