"content": "I've never heard of that one. My first thought is, who the hell just happens to have a camcorder when something like this happens in 1996? Ok, we had one from about 1990 and we might have thought to bring it if we were searching the woods for a missing child. However, the video quality was much better than this crap. You can't tell if the UFO is levitating or sitting on the ground. He never shows any of the alien's body even when he opens its eye and mouth. When the camera autofocuses on its face just before the first clip ends, it looks all angular like a bad sculpture made of play-dough. It's fake.

The association with Coast To Coast is another red flag. Art Bell was a shameless and malicious hoax perpetrator. I don't know if that should've been obvious to listeners at the time, but it is now. At least in hindsight, that's another strike against Dr. Reed.

I could have done a much better hoax with better video quality. My fake UFO would clearly have been levitating, suspended by invisible 2 or 4 pound fishing line, and it would have looked better than that awful \"Hollywood\" recreation. I would have made my siblings play the alien(s).",
