"content": "So I recently finished Return to Shironagasu Island ( https://tabinomichi.itch.io/return-to-shironagasu-island ). Overall I am glad I got it at half off for 2.50$.

It is a horror mystery novel that does not try to stay 100% realistic. It is an ok mystery with a few twists where you try to figure out a few things. The mystery is there, but it is a bit weak. The horror is thankfully far better. It has a nice creepy atmosphere and the spooks are genuinely creepy. It leans on the jump scare crutch a tad too heavily though.

The characters are good enough and have backstories at the very least. The best character is probably your partner Neneko. Unlike most sidekicks, she is actually helpful and feels more like a side protagonist. I am a sucker for Tomoko Kuroki type characters as well.

Overall it was a decent few hours I spent with the game, and worth a few bucks, but not worth more.",

"content": "I recently finished \"The great pretender\" anime. Overall I can see why people really like it. It is very western and has a great look and feel. For someone that likes lighthearted \"Ocean's Eleven\" type of a show, I would recommend it.

For me personally tho, it ultimately was not my cup of tea. I enjoyed it, but the lack of real stakes (After a few episodes, it was abundantly clear that the protagonists were going to win 100%) prevented me from getting super invested. The way they won was also very deus ex machina. They never gave hints on being able to solve the twists yourself, they just drop the reveal at the last episode per arc.",
