These shows are not widely popular for various reasons, but I highly recommend them all. They can all be found for free on YouTube or other streaming services.<br />These shows are: Grimm (2011-17), The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber (2003), and Farscape (1999-2003 & 2007).<br />Grimm and The Heaven Sword both also contain the best misdirection of a love story you'll likely ever see.<br />Now, for the villains in each of these pieces, those that offer a challenge and threat to the protagonists become part of the struggle against a greater antagonist. It's really a simple concept, but each of these narratives display great character understanding and balancing on interests and potentials to such a degree, the 'bad guys' remain human.<br />The best of all villains to become a character that you'll root for is Scorpius for my two cents, but it might well be another if you ever watch through these series yourself.<br />The adjustment calls into question the moral correctness not of the characters but of the characters' ultimate principle. It's well easy enough to castigate, but it's much harder to forgive.<br />Carrying guilt, building trust and gaining respect are arduous journeys. Allowing a betrayer to amend is reckless and cautious bound together.<br />Great for story-telling and rewarding for the viewer to see it done so well.
