"content": "To the prohibition of the government to interfere in the freedoms of religion, speech, ideas and arms expressed in 1776; if humanity wants to prosper, it would need to add:<br /><br />- Freedom of medicine, as per this quote, prohibiting any form of social security. Even indirect subsidies. <br /><br />- Freedom of education, prohibiting any form of public education. Including any form of indirect subsidies at any level of the education path.<br /><br /> - Freedom of information, prohibiting public media and agencies and prohibiting any form of subsidies, including government's publicity.<br /><br />- One kind of taxation and one only.<br /><br />- Freedom of security, thereby, prohibiting centralized police which might gather endless powers.<br /><br />- Freedom of market, prohibiting the government to own any public company and prohibiting the government from establishing any price of commodity, product, service, stock or salary.<br /><br />- Freedom of currency, separating the government from the activity of issuing coin and prohibiting the government from establishing a currency in a given country.<br /><br />- A politician is not a profession.<br /><br />- A bureaucrat is not a profession.<br /><br />And more... these are basic things I thought in 5 minutes during this rant!<br />",

Plato spoke of “noble lies” told to the people to serve the common good. These “noble lies,” however, are a rare, if not nonexistent, creature. Far more common are ignoble lies—falsehoods employed to generate enthusiasm for despicable programs. From forced sterilization to pedophilia to infanticide to totalitarianism, the causes championed by the subjects of this book are more often than not evil rather than just wrong. In a democratic society, a well-informed public, not a confused one, is the best arbiter of which paths are desirable and which ones should be avoided. The popularity of misleading the public demonstrates the lack of confidence many elites have not only in the masses but in their own programs as well.<br /><br />The means by which they confuse are many. The ideologue will always shift his principles to fit his circumstances. He will impugn motives—“racist!” “sexist!” “homophobe!” he shouts—and use straw men to shift the focus from the accused to accuser. When a critic’s argument undermines the ideologue’s falsehoods, he will invoke authority, declare that the majority of experts agree with him, and challenge the credentials of the one raising questions. Censorship and intimidation can sometimes be used to shield the public from particularly threatening information.
