Honestly.\"

Facebook: \"Sleaford Mods Fan Club
Private group 11K members 10+ posts a day
The Original Sleaford Mods Fan Club SMarmy
No Tories or other right wing cunts.\"

Narcissistic scum will casually lie and gaslight while excusing themselves with the self-serving delusional belief that 'everyone else does it and if you don't then you're a naive schmuck'.

Jason, from 'Sleaford Mods', is clearly such scum. I've never actually met the man myself, and up until quite recently have been relatively (blissfully) unaware of his creative output. I still am really. More recently I've read his Twitter accounts (he has one for himself and one for the band), as well as having had a brief interaction with his 'Sleaford Mods' account on said censorious social media platform a few months ago.

Andrew Fearn, or 'Fearny' as I knew him back in the day, I have met. I haven't seen nor spoken to him in over a decade, and now I'm aware he's apparently a pop sensation with the kids as the other half of the aforementioned musical duo, but that's explicitly beside the point.

Salty man-babies. It seems that the issue of 'authenticity' in pop music is still a thing, but this isn't about that (I don't care, but others are free to if it's important to them). Just the facts, ma'am.

From a random Twitter news thread about the UK Conservative party leadership contest in July 2022.

On July 13th, 'Tom' wrote:

\"Thinking about when Cameron said he liked The Smiths in 2005 to sound modern. Equivalent in terms of time ago now would be for someone to say they liked Travis when they were a teenager. Maybe Sunak will.\"

'neil evans' replied:

\"They're so opportunistic they'd probably say they were Sleaford Mods fans if it made them think they sounded cool.\"

On July 14th 'Drew Gordon' commented thirdly thus:

\"Andrew Fearn's from Sleaford Mods family live on a farm-mansion in Lincolnshire. He's as entitled as they come, never worked a proper job his entire life instead signing on in Nottingham and housesitting for his parents during the summer until he finally 'made it' in his mid-40s.\"

The check-marked 'Sleaford Mods' account, apparently after doing a Twitter search for their own name, decided to chime in, damage control style:

\"Yea he's entitled. Honestly.\"

So why am I writing about this now, almost three months later and two months after the 'Drew Gordon' account was suspended by Twitter for curiously unspecified 'hateful conduct'...?

I wasn't remotely bothered enough at the time to use a different browser, so I didn't read Sleaford Mods 'average local jealous' comment nor check out their Twitter history. I was enjoying debating China's policy on Hong Kong and Taiwan with some random under a Caitlin Johnstone-tweet, and also that week in July was when Lauren Southern released her 'The WHOLE Truth' documentary onto YouTube, so I had a few relevant things to tweet about that too. Basically too much other stuff to do to really even wonder about what someone who tweets-then-blocks has to say. I'd already said my piece and made my point.

A month or so afterwards my account was suspended. No reason given still. Then Elon Musk bought Twitter so I had another browse with another account, and I came across Sleaford Mods bitchy aside about me.

Did Sleaford Mods (use their blue check-mark to) get my original account suspended? Occam's Razor says no, as my exchange with them was a month earlier and I'd then-since posted about the Rushdie attack ('people who support hate-speech laws mitigate on behalf of Rushdie's throat-stabber') and the government's covid policies ('don't we have a right to openly question them?') which could have also gotten me into Twitter trouble. Then again something else occurred that I'd consider quite trivial but would perhaps get the attention of 'Sleaford Mods', or more specifically Andrew Fearn from Sleaford Mods.

Just before I was suspended, (famed recording engineer) Steve Albini replied to me, after I'd commented under one of his tweets. I then had a cordial chat with some other people in that thread about music, and how it's become politicized in the age of social media, particularly on Wikipedia where political affiliations are either listed or assumed by the editors based on past sourced-comments. I noticed that, a few days after my ban, Albini retweeted a Sleaford Mods 'change a word in a band's name' pseudo-viral challenge-tweet. Jason/Fearn would have known that I followed Albini on Twitter and so would've likely spotted Albini mentioning them.

Perhaps Andrew Fearn was worried that I might post the YouTube video of him at a Shellac gig over a decade ago, climbing up on stage to stage-dive before randomly deciding to walk up to the microphone to speak before Albini, dressed as a mummy, because it was a Halloween show, swiftly pushes him back into the audience. Typically entitled of Fearn while drunk.

'Average, local and jealous', a weirdly generic ad hominem (as used by the likes of Jimmy Savile to rebuff criticism) but okay. I have to Google the lead singer's name, Jason Williamson, but looking at both of his Twitter accounts I can think of a few off-hand ad hominems for him, a boring cowardly retard perhaps? Petty, too easy maybe, but accurate.

Nothing I posted about Andrew Fearn was a lie (some of it's my honest opinion) and I can back up my claims with hard evidence, while what (presumably) Jason posted about me was nothing but lies and I can prove that too.

For a start I'm far from 'local' to Nottingham. I lived there for almost seven years in the 1990s, where I socialized with Andrew Fearn quite regularly, sharing a house with him at one point, around 1995. I visited Nottingham for the millennium and spent the night partying with our mutual friend Simon at his basement studio. Scout Niblet played an acoustic set. I video'd it and told her to play Melvins. I didn't visit Nottingham again much after that for the rest of the decade until I finally passed my driving test in 2007. After that I visited Nottingham a few times.

In 2008 I stayed at Fearn's parents house while he house-sat during the summer. Winter 2008 Fearn accompanied Simon and I to 'All Tomorrow's Parties' as hosted by Mike Patton and Melvins, and the last time I can remember seeing Fearn was around the end of that decade. I have a bunch of his demos that he gave me from that era on my hard drive. I've since visited Nottingham a few times, mainly for work when I was a driver for British Car Auctions, and I've spoken to Simon a few times since, but life's moved on for everyone since a quarter of a century ago. Still, having moved back down to Basingstoke and gone through various life changes I was struck by how little Simon and Fearn's lifestyles had changed from the mid 90s to the late 00s. Sharing a house, signing on, smoking sessions, listening to music, socializing in a bubble, jamming, watching the odd movie, reading very little and apparently being eternally envious of everyone that they deemed a success in life. Tony Blair approved.

So yeah, not 'local', nor jealous neither. That's just weird and reeks of psychological projection. Is Jason admitting that for the two decades he and Andrew Fearn were struggling 'nobodies' they were 'jealous' of 'celebrities'? It wouldn't surprise me. All the times Jason is tweeting at Tories calling them 'cunts' he's actually displaying his envy at their political status. This is his 'logic'. I imagine that the very thought of Elon Musk sends Jason into paroxysms of wannabe/fomo-rage. If you browse the Sleaford Mods' idiotic Twitter timeline it's not hard to imagine that Jason or Fearn 'feel' that certain right wing politicians and commentators see them as nothing more than 'local jealous cunts'. It's lowbrow projection as social critique. Why would I be jealous of their stupidity? Are they high on cocaine (isn't that a rhetorical question)?

A lot of people think along those lines, unconsciously or not, and so they conclude that most everyone feels the same way they do, but that's simply delusional. It makes them feel better about themselves, socially, much like the dopamine rush of the public virtue signal. It's incredibly childish though, lowest common denominator thinking, babyish pacifier-spitting and throwing toys from the pram.

Unsurprisingly I don't find their music to be at all interesting, and think that their persona-attitude is grossly hypocritical and cringeworthy. Is Jason's dad jealous of Fearn's dad or does it not matter because theoretically he could beat him up? Either way I'd rather listen to The Fall, or Slaves, or Babymetal, or Death Grips, or Pussy Riot, or Cuntmafia or pretty much anything rather than the definitively inauthentic recycled lifestyle crap that is Sleaford Mods. I can't say I've even listened to them enough to properly critique their music, blandly forgettable as it is.

If I was in Sleaford Mods I'd probably Kurt Cobain't out of embarrassment. The best thing I ever heard from Andrew Fearn, musically, and I heard more than enough, was his ability to singalong with all the words to 'Kuntz' by Butthole Surfers, no joke.

Typical of Fearn back in the mid-90s; I bumped into a bunch of friends in Nottingham town center one day, including Fearn and his mate Matt, and I mentioned that fact that I'd been into the Army Career's agency and picked up a leaflet, because in another year I'd be too old to join and so was curiously tempted, although I'd have to quit smoking pot.

Seemingly coincidentally, Matt then turned to the group and announced that he was off, and the conversation continued. Later that evening Fearn seemed to take great pride in informing me that Matt left because he was shocked and appalled by the fact of me being curious about joining the army. Like I was psychotic. Consequently I can't say I was ever bothered about being friends with Matt (when really I should have confronted him over what Fearn had said). In retrospect one realises that this kind of manipulation-by-gossip is typical of malignantly narcissistic control freaks, and bitchy women too. Nice work Fearn.

Fearn knows I owe him no favors, he's self-entitled but there's always a limit. One of the very last times I saw him was with Simon at the end of the 00s, Simon took me aside and asked me to move back to Nottingham to \"save\" him from Fearn. I just smiled. Was he serious? A few months earlier Fearn had invited himself along to stay with Simon and I in our two-berth cabin at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival weekend and generally was an uber-annoying asshole. Stealing drugs, offering to fight over it and spending one whole night crying like a little girl while tripping on LSD in our shared cabin.

After Fearn finally 'made it', Simon, who himself took a decade to pay me back the money he owed me for the All Tomorrow's Parties-trip, told me that Fearn had practically abandoned his old crowd, as success is wont to do to people. Beyond that he'd used some of Simon's and their friend Matt's ideas in his 'musical formulas' and had taken sole credit. Heigh ho. I guess they're all just 'jealous' too.

One time when I was up in Notts in the late 00s, out drinking with Simon and Fearn, Fearn spontaneously turned to Simon and said \"you know why you haven't got a girlfriend, it's because you come across as too weird and creepy...\" He must have noticed me raise my eyebrows because he then said \"you too...\" to me. I'd spent no more than a few days of time in this guy's company since the mid/late 90s, back when I was hardly short of female attention. When he was a closeted gay/posh lad who was triggered by the sound of me arguing with my girlfriend of over three years on the phone, while she was at uni and our relationship was terminal.

\"The reason Simon has his taste in music is because he's tone deaf!\" Poor Simon, the sort of things Fearn would say (in his presence) about his friend who ran the Chameleon club where Fearn the passive-aggressive bully met Jason the obvious thicko and history was made. Simon must surely be relieved to be away from Fearn's weird and creepy ways, now at least (this is where I could add to 'the rumour mill', and probably should...)

'PJ Harvey' grew up on a posh farm in Dorset, I wouldn't begrudge her if she wanted to pose as a musician of the people, of the working class. It would still be funny though in a 'Detroit Metal City'-kind of way, and that's how I see it with (at least half of) Sleaford Mods. It's a classic 'fake it 'til you make it'-farce. Fearn left home at 16? Fearn at 16 was over six foot tall and his parents were loaded. What a punk rock clichΓ©. 'M.I.A.' apparently had an eventful refugee childhood but basically grew up posh too, being a slum landlady before she was a streetwise rapper, but she doesn't try to hide it the way Jason and Fearn do, going by the dubious image that the official Sleaford Mods Twitter account seemingly wants to market to the general public at large.

Projection. You have to wonder about those (such as Sleaford Mods and their supporters) who insist that 'Brexit', Britain leaving the EU, is 'Tory' and (therefore) 'racist'. Are they saying that (they think that) Tony Benn, George Galloway are, or were years ago, racist? Does Jason from Sleaford Mods have a confirmed racist past?

I have photos somewhere on an old hard drive taken at Fearn's parents house. Andrew Fearn in his parent's massive indoor swimming pool. He understandably kept his parent's relative wealth secret back in the 90s. He never had a job nor seemed to need to attend 'job club' like the rest of us slackers. It makes more sense once you realize what he had to fall back on. I have camcorder video tapes dating to when I lived in Nottingham that probably have 'Fearny' on them, and plenty of video since (I really should do something with the footage I shot on the millennium but it's on an old format). I even have a note handwritten by Fearn, that I found when I was sorting old stuff out for a move a few years ago, telling me that I should move out of our shared house because he was sick of hearing me arguing with my then-girlfriend on the phone. Consequently he moved out instead.

What does 'on the steps of the rumour mill' even mean anyway? If Fearn wants to gossip about me I'd have to question the sources for his slander. 'Big Chris' and 'Michelle's dodgy friend', both with obvious motivations to lie? My assault charges? Good luck trying to get those stories straight. Fearn was part of my social circle 'back in the day' but he certainly was never my actual friend. He was always quick to gossip and bitch in bad faith, then again he was in-the-closet as a homosexual back then too, even though we had an openly gay housemate.

Perhaps he had an unrequited crush on me, again it would explain a few things. He was a pain to be around as a housemate, literally freaking out once when he broke his four-track while cleaning his room and another time when I cooked some stinky fish (mackerel), running around the house bellowing his anger like a spoiled autistic toddler on both occasions. Certainly a case for treatment but then again blatant narcissistic personality disorder is trΓ©s fashionable nowadays, it seems.

To sum up - fuck those disingenuous Sleaford Mods midwits and their megacringe poseuring - they shouldn't have lied about me (my name's not Karl either), they weren't even on my radar until (a) someone brought them up in a Tory leadership contest Twitter thread and (b) I read their 'local jealous cunt' comment, months later, that they'd posted after they'd blocked me, like bitchy creeps. These people have always got to prove my point by acting like malicious children. Waah wah they don't like me telling the truth about Andrew Fearn's parent's income-bracket or my opinion that he's (known to have been) a bullying twat? Don't resort to blatantly lying (as well as blocking/lamely replying behind the block/possibly reporting) on social media. Be an adult. If you can't manage that then stick to the dumb insults, they do make me smile, 'average cunt' (I wish!)

In the meantime I should dig out those pics of Fearn's parent's mansion and give them to The Daily Express or some trash website, along with this rant, free gratis, just to set the record straight. It would serve those tedious clowns right. You'd still have to pay me to listen to their music (to review it) though, it's nothing but cretinous doggerel shouted over formulaic indie electronica pop pap, isn't it?

A little like 'controlled opposition', meant to make 'the left' look tasteless, boring, stupid and crass. I'm sure that Andrew Fearn's wealthy parents approve. Their subversive posh boy organ grinder and his monkey with Tourette's.

π€‘

Twitters: @sleafordmods
Jason Williamson: @fit_as_fuc
Andrew Fearn: @extnddntwrk",

Honestly.\"\n\nFacebook: \"Sleaford Mods Fan Club\nPrivate group 11K members 10+ posts a day\nThe Original Sleaford Mods Fan Club SMarmy\nNo Tories or other right wing cunts.\"\n\nNarcissistic scum will casually lie and gaslight while excusing themselves with the self-serving delusional belief that 'everyone else does it and if you don't then you're a naive schmuck'. \n\nJason, from 'Sleaford Mods', is clearly such scum. I've never actually met the man myself, and up until quite recently have been relatively (blissfully) unaware of his creative output. I still am really. More recently I've read his Twitter accounts (he has one for himself and one for the band), as well as having had a brief interaction with his 'Sleaford Mods' account on said censorious social media platform a few months ago.\n\nAndrew Fearn, or 'Fearny' as I knew him back in the day, I have met. I haven't seen nor spoken to him in over a decade, and now I'm aware he's apparently a pop sensation with the kids as the other half of the aforementioned musical duo, but that's explicitly beside the point.\n\nSalty man-babies. It seems that the issue of 'authenticity' in pop music is still a thing, but this isn't about that (I don't care, but others are free to if it's important to them). Just the facts, ma'am.\n\nFrom a random Twitter news thread about the UK Conservative party leadership contest in July 2022.\n\nOn July 13th, 'Tom' wrote:\n\n\"Thinking about when Cameron said he liked The Smiths in 2005 to sound modern. Equivalent in terms of time ago now would be for someone to say they liked Travis when they were a teenager. Maybe Sunak will.\"\n\n'neil evans' replied:\n\n\"They're so opportunistic they'd probably say they were Sleaford Mods fans if it made them think they sounded cool.\"\n\nOn July 14th 'Drew Gordon' commented thirdly thus:\n\n\"Andrew Fearn's from Sleaford Mods family live on a farm-mansion in Lincolnshire. He's as entitled as they come, never worked a proper job his entire life instead signing on in Nottingham and housesitting for his parents during the summer until he finally 'made it' in his mid-40s.\"\n\nThe check-marked 'Sleaford Mods' account, apparently after doing a Twitter search for their own name, decided to chime in, damage control style:\n\n\"Yea he's entitled. Does Jason from Sleaford Mods have a confirmed racist past?\n\nI have photos somewhere on an old hard drive taken at Fearn's parents house. Consequently he moved out instead.\n\nWhat does 'on the steps of the rumour mill' even mean anyway? If Fearn wants to gossip about me I'd have to question the sources for his slander. 'Big Chris' and 'Michelle's dodgy friend', both with obvious motivations to lie? My assault charges? Good luck trying to get those stories straight. Fearn was part of my social circle 'back in the day' but he certainly was never my actual friend. He was always quick to gossip and bitch in bad faith, then again he was in-the-closet as a homosexual back then too, even though we had an openly gay housemate.\n\nPerhaps he had an unrequited crush on me, again it would explain a few things. He was a pain to be around as a housemate, literally freaking out once when he broke his four-track while cleaning his room and another time when I cooked some stinky fish (mackerel), running around the house bellowing his anger like a spoiled autistic toddler on both occasions. Certainly a case for treatment but then again blatant narcissistic personality disorder is trΓ©s fashionable nowadays, it seems.\n\nTo sum up - fuck those disingenuous Sleaford Mods midwits and their megacringe poseuring - they shouldn't have lied about me (my name's not Karl either), they weren't even on my radar until (a) someone brought them up in a Tory leadership contest Twitter thread and (b) I read their 'local jealous cunt' comment, months later, that they'd posted after they'd blocked me, like bitchy creeps. If you can't manage that then stick to the dumb insults, they do make me smile, 'average cunt' (I wish!)\n\nIn the meantime I should dig out those pics of Fearn's parent's mansion and give them to The Daily Express or some trash website, along with this rant, free gratis, just to set the record straight. It would serve those tedious clowns right. You'd still have to pay me to listen to their music (to review it) though, it's nothing but cretinous doggerel shouted over formulaic indie electronica pop pap, isn't it?\n\nA little like 'controlled opposition', meant to make 'the left' look tasteless, boring, stupid and crass. I'm sure that Andrew Fearn's wealthy parents approve. Their subversive posh boy organ grinder and his monkey with Tourette's.\n\nπ€‘\n\nTwitters: @sleafordmods\nJason Williamson: @fit_as_fuc\nAndrew Fearn: @extnddntwrk",

It seems that my theory about the best post-millennial 'third wave' thrash acts being a refinement upon the post-punk 'noise rock' production styling of the likes of Steve Albini and Amphetamine Reptile Records is again borne out by a 00s re-recording.\n\nI've been listening to Destruction's 2001 Album 'The Antichrist' in the car, which features a song, 'Godfather of Slander' that seems to be influenced by Helios Creed, amongst all the rest of the punky German thrash, but the song at the end of the CD, which I thought was contemporaneous with the rest of the album, is actually a re-recording of one of their old 'classics'.\n\nThe 80s production and singing is typically awful, whereas on the post-90s re-recording it rocks.\n\nOlder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnFL3xMoKIk\n\nNewer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cwg-M5-pjvs\n\nEven after adjusting the relative volumes/audio qualities of the uploads to match each other, the differences in production, arrangement, 'attack' etc. are glaringly obvious. They've had a over decade of playing the song live though, so there's always that as well, but still the 'post-Melvins affect' is clearly there. π€",
