If you study Daniel 2 and 9, as well as Revelation 17 and 18. I think it is clear that the Vatican, the Roman Catholic Church is indeed the Whore of Babylon. Before the reformation it was a crime to have a copy of the Bible, they would burn the Bibles and execute the ones caught with it. They are guilty of the martyrdom of many brethen. Revelation 17:6) They sit in the 7 hills of Rome. (Revelation 17:9) and they control many institutions around the world. (Revelation 17:1) they influence many people of many nations around the world (Revelation 17:15). Clothes themselves in purple and scarlet (Revelation 17:4) <br />The Vatican calls themselves the “Mother Church”, yet they have cheated on their Lord. Scripture teaches us that the Church is the bride of Christ. This is why, I believe the Vatican is the mother of harlots. (Revelation 17:5) <br /><br />The Catholic Church officially recognized mysticism in the 13th century. It has adopted idolatry and occultism. The pope dares calls himself the holy father, a title only for God. Jesus said in Matthew 23:9 “Call no man father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven”. In John 17:11 God is referred to as Holy Father. <br /><br />For those who are in Christ are lovers of truth. It is truth that sets us free. By Bondage to Christ, we are set free from the death of sin, not by our works but by the work of Christ. But the Vatican misleads its flock into idolatry, false teachings and blasphemy. So many people have felt hopeless because the Vatican claims that salvation is lost and must be worked for to be regained. They have attempted to steal the good news of salvation of God’s Kingdom from people through its deceit. Despite there lies, God has not forgotten or forsaken his people, and he will not be idle while evil uses his name to deceive his people.
