"content": "The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has lost one of its Special Forces (SF) personnel in a gun-battle as troops of ‘Operation Hadarin Daji’ killed 30 bandits at Maje Riverline near Yar-Katsina, Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara.<br /><br />The Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF Headquarters, AVM Ibikunle Daramola, who disclosed this in a statement, on Monday, in Abuja, added that the feat was achieved when the troops from Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) at Kekuwuje, Kwatarkwashi and Maru, comprised mostly of SF personnel, were mobilised.<br /><br />Daramola explained that the mobilisation was in response to reports that scores of bandits, along with a large number of rustled livestock, were spotted heading towards Kekuwuje Yar-Katsina Road.<br />He explained further that the troops intercepted and overpowered them with superior firepower in the ensuing gun battle.<br /><br />“The troops subsequently chased the bandits and cornered them at the Maje Riverline, neutralising 30 of them.<br /><br />“But unfortunately, one SF personnel, Aircraftman Sunday Enwa, who fought gallantly during the encounter, paid the supreme price, while three others, who sustained gunshot wounds during the operation, have been evacuated for medical treatment,” Daramola said.<br /><br />The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, on behalf of airmen, airwomen and the civilian staff of NAF, has commiserated with the family of the fallen hero and prays that God grant his soul peaceful repose.<br /><br />Abubakar also urged NAF personnel to remain resolute and continue to work assiduously, in synergy with sister services and other security agencies, to rid the North-West of all criminal elements.",

What would you do with your time?<br /><br />Four days is so short so I'll do whatever am able to, although there are a lot of things i haven't been able to accomplish and am not sure I'll be able to in four days but i gotta do what i can do. I can't alert the public since no one would believe me anyway so I'll just live my last four days...<br /><br />I'll go and buy/grab all the food, drinks, etc that I love to have. As the world would be ending, I suppose everyone would stop working soon so at least i should get to eat what i haven't tried before..<br /><br />I'll try to go to a peaceful and quiet place, that I can reach on my own. Just roam around with no purpose, and no connection to the outside world... no phones, no emails, no upvotes... and just try to make peace with everything that's happening. In the 1970s hundreds of millions of people will starve to death in spite of any crash programs embarked upon now. At this late date nothing can prevent a substantial increase in the world death rate…”\n\nBack when he wrote the book, the global population was around 3.5 billion people. Right now, we’re at around 7.7 billion — and climbing — but somehow we’ve managed to avoid the Malthusian Catastrophe that Erlich predicted.\n\nCritics of his doomsday prophecy typically cite advances in technology — such as the green revolution in the late 60’s — as increasing the production of food enough to avoid global famine. Technology can’t solve every problem, though, and as population continues to increase, it will stretch the Earth’s global carrying capacity to the breaking point.\n\nVictims Of Our Own Success\nSo how did we get here? Overpopulation is a crisis driven by advances in farming, medicine, and technology over the last century that have reduced mortality rates worldwide, while eliminating natural population controls like starvation & plagues.
