"content": "I was in oakland my hometown I wasn’t born there I moved there the summer of 76 my uncle was already living there and my mom his sister had just finished her degree in nursing at the university of Michigan my twin and I were blessed to grow up in the beautiful suburbs of oakland we hung with the homies and ran the streets from market to SB park and every where in between ✌🏽 I love the bay and though I lived in many place and traveled to other countries I take the Bay Area with me it is my DNA <br />this week I saw my city and I literally cried 💔😭😭<br />I’m flowing through my hoods to tap in with my folks<br /> I’m on the blocc and there are tents everywhere,cars lined with people famalies clearly living in them young and old I’m seeing it everywhere on the ride to oakland 🤦🏽♀️😑<br />I left with a wad or two credit cards on deck because I stay ready to shop now (it’s like my therapy) and instead I find myself handing it out I only had notes because I didn’t get change and this wasn’t planned it just kept happening because the need and situation is dire I saw so many sista’s with their babies NOT asking for shit just telling me their story my heart hurts my soul hurts still<br />🤬 wtf how can WE fix this mass houselessness situation ( not homelessness because ppl are making homes on the streets litteral structures out of raw materials as well as tents) a note is nothing a mere drop in the bucket ( I) can’t have in abundance while someone/people/ children near me are in need or has NEEDS for the essentials not luxuries which is how I planned to spend the money IF 🫵🏽🫵🏽 CAN HELP PLEASE help when or if you can give what you can GIVING may not fix the immediate situation but it can change their day it can help even if it’s just dinner or money for laundry ANYTHING it tells them I am with you I see/feel for your struggle because truth be told it could be ME or 🫵🏽 and IF you too are fortunate enough to have a business you can write off ur donations you won’t get dollar for dollar but what’s the point of giving if you not sacrificing something to give it right? so give it 🙏🏽HELP <br />God will bless you karma will remember you 🙏🏽 ❤️ will fill 🫵🏽<br /> ",
