"content": "You can be busy BUT doing nothing…<br /> <br />This is my favorite quote and will be the bases of my discussion today on how to be effective and productive at work. <br /><br />Below are some tips which has been helping me and will definitely do you some help if you diligently follow it<br /> <br />Prepare your schedules for the next day the previous night: I sincerely want to tell you that when you follow this strictly, it's 30% possible you will maximize that day. In doing this, ensure you do not overwork yourself on the list. Put down task that are realistic according to your scale of preferences.<br /><br /> Propose and diligently follow how much time you're spending on tasks (Deadlines): this is also essential on that list you made. It will help you to maximize the time according to the task noted down. <br /><br /> Start each day with the less strenuous and most important tasks: you need to be discipline with each task and the time allocated<br /><br /> Take regular breaks: You’re never and cannot work like a machine, else you will break down. Within works, ensure you give yourself some breaks. Do not ignore lunch time.<br /><br /> Quit multitasking: As much as most organization will mostly seek for employees who can multi-task, research has shown that such people are less effective and will not be able to carry out sensitive and quality assignment.<br /><br /> Give up on the illusion of perfection: This is another thing you need to give up. There is actually no perfect task/job anywhere. You can only give your best to do it. There will always be someone who can do it better.<br /><br /> Be proactive, not reactive: Proactivenes is following duly planned schedules despite the interference from other non-essential task. Such less essential task is called reactive assignments. Don’t bow to such tasks. They are unnecessary interruptions<br /><br /> Celebrate yourself: I do this a lot, after a very wonderful day, I give myself a good treat. That’s the only way to say Thank You to Myself, Practice it also.<br /><br /> I will advise you to take your time and do as highlighted.
