One of my friends shared images - I've combined one showing what he saw when he hovered over the View and Pay button. I checked with PP community even not logged in I was able to see several similar complaints, PP doesn't help. Many of the complaints are not clear that they got email or if there actually was an invoice in their PP when they logged in. I entered the community and was able to see a lot more complaints, including some that were able to Cancel the invoice but many more who were not.<br />:<br />One wrote \"I too got the $50 invoice notification in my email; however, I did receive a reply from Paypal and they said that I have an invoice in my account, but when I logged into check my summary or activity page to find it, it isn't there! It is weird that Paypal sees this invoice and I don't. It sounds like everyone does, but I don't. This is definitely suspicious.\"<br />:<br />\"I’m so glad I’m not the only one who got one... mine was $35. I was able to press “cancel” to get rid of the notification but the invoice is still on my account. Annoyed that there’s no way to report it.\"<br />:<br />\"Re: WHO COVID-19 Solidarity fund charge of $20<br />The real danger here is that Paypal has been hacked and can do nothing about it. An outside entity is able to place invoices on our accounts, knowing a percentage of people will just pay the bills and not look. Paypal has no ability to remove the invoices from our account and that is scary. I understand paypal not wanting this to get out to the general public.\"<br />:<br />My friend shared full email headers and I confirmed they originated from PP. The domain given on the invoice was registered to United Nations Foundation in W DC, on March 5, 2020, using godaddy.<br />The PP.com help articles, on invoices, say nothing about how to cancel a non-Product invoice (such as service invoice or donation invoice), and none of the community posts indicate PP responded professionally. My friend messaged me separately that on other occasions he got obvious scam emails and alerted PP \"Usually the invoice is for $5 or $10, and according to PayPal, it’s not scam\"<br />This is consistent with the many remarks I saw in PP community that they don't do anything.
