The advice of relationship experts on the subject of finding and keeping a mate, focuses more on the qualities we should be looking for in the other person and less on the qualities we need to possess ourselves. Our expectations aren't unrealistic when it comes to love; we just don't own up to the same expectations we want our mates to have. For example: We want our mate to have a fantastic body, when we are out of shape because we don't like working out or eating right. The results of a poor diet and lack of exercise are a beer gut and cellulite. Let me yell into the bullhorn for a second, we have to become what we want to attract. We are magnets. We draw people to us good and bad according to our habits and beliefs from the inside out. Who we are on the inside, is what attracts people to us, not who we are on paper, not even our exterior shell, but our deeper selves. The deep unresolved issues lying dormant inside of us can cause the wrong type of person to be attracted to us. Many times women complain about attracting \"x\" kind of guy. This is a perfect example of how we draw people to us according to who we really are.

We have to take responsibility for ourselves. We aren't victims. Taking responsibility means, if we want something better, we have to do better, fundamentally. It's easier; we think to work on the other person. We desire our mate to be perfect, to balance out our shortcomings. Is that fair to them? I'm sure they'd agree it's not. Not only is it unfair, it's also unnecessary, because we have the power to work on and improve any area of our lives we aren't pleased with. We have no control over the other person at all. \"When we don't want to deal with ourselves, we take the focus off of us and we put the focus on other people.\" Bishop Terrell Murphy

",

Our circumstances and situations may look very dim and bleak. We may feel discouraged about any number of things, from our families, to our careers, to even our health. Though we may feel discouraged at certain times, something happens when we get a little hope. Like when a baseball team is being beat 6 to 0 in the 9th inning. All of sudden, after a few base hits and a walk the bases are loaded. Now seemingly out of nowhere this team that thought defeat was certain now starts to come alive. They get enthusiastic, they lift their heads up, and they get excited. They see there is still a chance for victory. This is what hope does. It brings joy and it brings enthusiasm. Joy for the present and enthusiasm for the future. Even when our marriage may be on the rocks, or the job is looking very bleak, or we received a bad report about our health, all it takes is a glimmer of hope and things can start to turn around.

So how can we get this hope? Well, love is the perfect breeding ground for hope. When love is in our hearts, we will always seek the best for others and for ourselves. When we have it, we pretty much create hope in our environment. The goodness that is found in love creates hope wherever it goes.

Without love having real hope is difficult. The nature of love is to hope for an expected end, a good end. If your child is not well, your love for your child will hope for a full recovery. If you had a bad argument with your wife, your love for her will hope that you can smooth things over. Or let's say you borrowed something from a friend and then damaged it, because of your love for your friend you hope they will not be offended and then you look for a way to make it right if possible.

",

In other words you can be inauthentic with yourself and it's a good thing.

Many people wrestle with this problem because they are obsessed with being authentic, rational and mathematical about life, and have forgotten the power of the imagination.

Remember this quote? \"If you are waiting to see it to believe it you will be waiting a very long time\"

Words like \"I believe... \" might not be real at first, but they will become real. Statements like \"I have a dream... \" might not be real at first, but repeated often enough, they can become real. Most great people \"imagined\" what they believed before they believed what they believe.

I have met many guru's, speakers, so called enlightened people and I was really disillusioned about the fact that they are not what they say. They don't walk their talk. Very rarely are they as good as what they sell. In other words you can be inauthentic with yourself and it's a good thing.\n\nMany people wrestle with this problem because they are obsessed with being authentic, rational and mathematical about life, and have forgotten the power of the imagination.\n\nRemember this quote? \"If you are waiting to see it to believe it you will be waiting a very long time\"\n\nWords like \"I believe... \" might not be real at first, but they will become real. Statements like \"I have a dream... \" might not be real at first, but repeated often enough, they can become real. Most great people \"imagined\" what they believed before they believed what they believe.\n\nI have met many guru's, speakers, so called enlightened people and I was really disillusioned about the fact that they are not what they say. Will I ever find true love? Do I have a soul mate... and if so, where are they? Am I destined to spend my life watching everyone ELSE become happy... without ever finding the same joy as well?

Any of these questions sound familiar? If you are anything like the vast majority of people who ask questions about love, romance and relationships, the biggest challenge you find yourself facing is the perpetual feeling of feeling alone.

Some of us, even have relationships that may appear to be really good on the outside, but deep down, where it counts, always feel alone, and perpetually all by ourselves, on the outside... looking in.

As a spiritual life coach and emotional intuitive, I know this feeling all too well. As a matter of fact, I can FEEL it in the \"souls\" and spirits of many of the people I speak to on a regular basis, and the feeling of loneliness that permeates the energy, and the emotion of many of these clients can actually be hard to shake.

The good news?

You CAN attract true love into your life. You can manifest what it is that you truly spiritually seek... and it doesn't require any gurus, any gimmicks or any expensive \"SECRETS\" to see it happen in your own life.

And while space is a bit short here... I'm going to share with you the 3 NEW rules you've got to make in your own life, if you are sick of feeling alone, and find yourself struggling with depression, disappointment and even embarrassment and isolation as a result.

1 - Set the INTENTION

Intentions are incredibly important for attracting anything you want into your life, even if you don't believe in anything spiritual or \"woo woo\" at all. The truth is, many people fail to differentiate between \"wanting\" something, and INTENDING on manifesting something in their lives. Intention, as the famous poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, is the critical key to setting in motion the movement (and momentum) that allows the Universe to conspire to help make your dreams come true.

2 - Apply your ATTENTION

This is where most of the \"law of attraction\" types drop the ball. You can't simply wish something into your world. You've got to apply the full, and ferocious force of your attention to making it happen. Attention means, for our purposes in this article, taking specific steps to manifesting your INTENTION in a way that makes your goal come alive in the world. Writing down a list of 5 places where you believe your soulmate or ideal spiritual partner may be waiting... and showing up there is an example of applying ATTENTION to your intention. As Woody Allen said so well about the spiritual laws of success years ago - \"90% of success in life is showing up!\"

3 - Feel the SENSATION

Lastly, you've got to be able to feel the actual sensation of what true love, for YOU, feels like in your body. Touch your heart, for example... and close your eyes and allow yourself to be overwhelmed with the emotion, and energy of what LOVE, and spending the rest of your life with a partner you are karmically connected to feels like.

Now, compare that to what it feels like now... or being alone. Attracting the things in your life using the physiology of SENSATION is a very powerful, yet very misunderstood component of manifesting what you need to be happy. When you align your energy, and emotions with ATTENTION, INTENTION and actually feel the SENSATION of manifestation, it's incredible how quickly the \"Universe\" will nudge you in the direction of your dreams!

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/8119273",
