"content": "Verse of the Day! The importance of using the word charity comes down to its meaning. When translating the text into English the translators had no intention of ever using the word love. Not because the context of the verse had nothing to do with love at all, but in fact had everything to do with the word charity representing the highest form of love. We must love as if it were a gift given freely without the expectation of ever receiving. For if we love selfishly then it is not a gift and therefor in no way profits the soul. Our reward is not of this world and therefore we must love without the expectation of reward on Earth. In this is the power of Jesus Christ's love and why His sacrifice was so powerful. That is why salvation is a gift from God! ",
