"content": "So, Ollama is the back end program that allows a model to run, even in terminal. A lot of the capabilities I'm looking to add depend more on whether the LLM you happen to be running understands that it can in fact interact with additional tools that allow it to check foreign databases via an API or read/write to files and the accuracy in which it is able to guess that is what the user wants based on their input.<br /><br />The model that Minds uses, Llama 3.2, is also what I've been using due to outdated hardware (my PC is from 2017) and it has a really poor understanding that it is able to utilize additional layers of code. It's like if you stuck a hammer right in front of it and said \"build a chair\" it wouldn't be able to see the hammer or other materials at all. It's totally oblivious.<br /><br />More complex models like Claude 3.7 Sonnet are trained on the understanding that they can interact with the tools you give it. The interface I use (Open Web UI) allows you to add tools written in python, but right now I'm basically hardware blocked on my ability to use an LLM that can do that.<br /><br />Llama 3.2 (what I and Minds use) has only 3.2 billion parameters (links between nodes, like synapses connecting neurons in computer brain terms). A model that excels in tool use (fetching the weather, using a complex algorithm to solve a problem, etc.) would typically start around 70B, orders of magnitude higher, but you could probably get a 13B-30B model to do it a lot better than the relatively stupid Llama 3.2.<br /><br />Ultimately, I would love to offer AI services via my project I'm budding with at least a 13B model if not much higher. It all depends on the hardware I'm able to buy. Right now, funding is not there so I'm working with what I've got. My ultimate vision is an LLM that can feed into whatever data you want to give it, totally private, alongside the social media instance vision.<br /><br />So I guess my answer is: technically, nothing 😂, but if I could, I would make an LLM that understands tools and can run on less powerful hardware so that these features are more accessible.",

"content": "Olive Oil Diet Reduces Risk of Type 2 Diabetes:<br />Traditionally a low-fat diet has been prescribed to prevent various diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. While studies have shown that high fat diets may increase the risk of certain diseases such as cancer and diabetes, it appears that it is the type of fat that counts rather than the amount of fat. We now know that a diet rich in monounsaturated fats such as the ones found in olive oil, nuts and seeds actually protects from many of these chronic diseases.<br />A study published in the scientific journal Diabetes Care showed that a Mediterranean style diet rich in olive oil reduced the risk of type II diabetes by almost 50 percent compared to a low fat diet. Type II diabetes is the most common and preventable form of diabetes.<br /><br />Olive Oil Might Help Prevent Strokes:<br />Older individuals who consume olive oil daily may be able to protect themselves from a stroke, according to a new study from France published in the online issue of Neurology Researchers gathered information from the medical records of 7,625 individuals over the age of 65 from three cities in France: Bordeaux, Dijon and Montpellier. None of the participants had a history of stroke. They then categorized the individuals into three groups based on their olive oil consumption.
