Why lie?<br /><br />If we keep denying COVID is 'a thing' or call it a hoax, China wins.<br /><br />It's not like China will get sued for a virus. We can't even force the CCP to allow all citizens to have basic human rights. We are pretty well toothless when it comes to holding China accountable for ANYTHING. So why is China telling its doctors to play down the virus? <br /><br />News Flash! - If nobody thinks the virus is serious, and China manages it well domesticallly - it comes out ahead of the rest of the world.<br /><br />Yes, China's vaccine effort sucks and is dodgy. But they have been doing masks and social distancing big time. <br /><br />Compare that to the US. So far the virus has killed more US citizens than WWII. And yet still so many claim it is a 'hoax.'<br /><br />So despite the US having the best quality vaccine, we will struggle to get both doses out on schedule to those who need it most.<br /><br />China is the largest surveillance state on the planet. Yet despite their CCTV cameras everywhere, they encourage people to wear masks. <br /><br />Why?<br /><br />Easy! Short term pain for long term gain.<br /><br />If I were in the shoes of the Chinese government, I would applaud anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers and COVID deniers in other countries. Hell, they'd be worth funding because they spread the virus and cause confusion, which only benefits the Chinese. The more sickness they spread, the worse the damage, and the longer the recovery. If I were the Chinese government, I would encourage the citizens of other countries to resist lockdowns and anything that would curtail any liberal 'rights'.<br /><br />Think about it for a moment.<br /><br />When you next hear 'It's a conspiracy to make me wear a mask!' Ask yourself, what does wearing a mask actually do?<br /><br />If the response is 'It encourages conformity', then you are dealing with somebody who forgot about queuing at the DMV or for their social security, or was was distracted by a social media post on their iPhone. They already conform.<br /><br />If you want to help the CCP, then fight the lockdowns, refuse vaccination and refuse to social distance or wear a mask. I am sure Xi Ping will be grateful for your contributions.<br />",
