After realising he's lonely with no friends he runs himself into a depressive move and sends a shockwave around the North West of America, shorting out all the electricity. This is picked up by the military and they send the a crazy, unconventional scientist, Dr Robotnik (Jim Carrey), to investigate the mysterious electrical blackout.

Eventually Sonic befriends the a small town Sheriff (Tom), who has just been successful in applying for a new job in San Francisco. However, Dr Robotnik works out what and where Sonic is and this starts a mad chase for survival.

The star of the movie is Jim Carrey who plays Dr Robotnik in his usual....very usual...Jim Carrey style and nothing else. This is Carrey's standard act.

The whole film is annoying, stupid, sometimes funny. But it just doesn't ring the bell of good entertainment for me. It's family friendly and watchable. But you soon get a bit bored and start asking simple questions...why does everyone accept a blue hedgehog? Yeah, I started to get bored.

The movie is a Feel good story, the CGI OK. Script is below standard, direction poor. Acting is what you'd expect on a budget film not a blockbuster. After realising he's lonely with no friends he runs himself into a depressive move and sends a shockwave around the North West of America, shorting out all the electricity. This is picked up by the military and they send the a crazy, unconventional scientist, Dr Robotnik (Jim Carrey), to investigate the mysterious electrical blackout.\n\nEventually Sonic befriends the a small town Sheriff (Tom), who has just been successful in applying for a new job in San Francisco. However, Dr Robotnik works out what and where Sonic is and this starts a mad chase for survival. \n\nThe star of the movie is Jim Carrey who plays Dr Robotnik in his usual....very usual...Jim Carrey style and nothing else. This is Carrey's standard act. \n\nThe whole film is annoying, stupid, sometimes funny. But it just doesn't ring the bell of good entertainment for me. It's family friendly and watchable.
