No material resistance is even possible. The only way out is through. We don't live in times of chaos - we live in an age where every agent of unpredictability and danger has been sanitized and sterilized to prevent anything new from happening, because it scares people. We have to dig until we find the heart of terror. Pray for chaos. It's far past the point that guns or bombs can fix things.
